Video takes ridiculous amounts of storage. Our current machines are just barely up to the task. Interesting job, this one! Would love to see the final finished truck!

I know 4k footage files are huge after whats a few minutes or so for you guys is 8+ hours even more when gopro and phone are dripped onto the computer 😂 I would like some after shots but the only way I will be able to get them if they call me back to do some more work the timing needs to been good though as it's a busy shop soon as something is complete its ship out 👌

Are you not concerned with sand getting into things like U-joints or destroying brake lines, or getting inside greased ,joints or electrical components?

Nope its not my truck 😂 on a serious note its not very likely to affect anything like mentioned. The way I do things I don't damage wires pipes etc and with the issues I've had over the past years I've learnt how to adapt and overcome these issues. Without giving too much of my business away I can blast a tractor unit without the issues mentioned 👍 these videos aren't a how to as the is alot more going on than what's shown please keep this in mind 👍

Hi Mick , do you know that you can purchase a wrist chain and clamp to go over the deadman and around your wrist so you dont have to hold the deadman on all the time . i used a ball and chain when i blasted it makes the job so much easyer ,

Are they 12v systems or pneumatic? Sounds like a good idea I'm up for trying anything that will make my day easier 😀

@@Mobileblaster hi mick the chain goes around your writ and is connected to a clamp that fits around the deadman paddle , so if you fall over or drop the hose the clamp pulls off and the deadman stops the opperation . they are made for both applications , electric and air .

@@paulthompson3877 their not very popular over hear in the UK and not fitted as factory to blast pots or seller that dose a converter I have a good idea how they work and think you would be right make the day a little easier I'm going to do some research later today just finishing off a video should be up for around uk 4pm 👍

😂 I feel the same confused as to why body shop say its going as a show truck but asked for face's 😏 it didn't look too bad of a job before yeah some areas could have been shinier and a little better blasted. Some folk want perfection better call a different blaster to me then haha

When you tear down at the end of the day do you keep your deadman wires attached to the blast hose or do you reapply them daily? Also what do you use to keep everything attached to the blast hose? Wire ties?

I leave it huck up. Deadmans is with wire ties and then duck tape the control line 👍

I don't like to talk about pricing this channel is entertainment purposes only I don't claim to be the best or a tutor as I know I do a lot of things that's not strictly by the book. If folk can take any tips and add it to their skill set im all for that but don't watch and think the way I do things is the only way to blast. Ive found what works for me and what media works well with my rig. A lot of variables to take into account. If I can help I will try my best but for pricing that will be down to you :) what I can say to help is work out how long it will take you find out your hourly costs and the add what you can live on per hour. thats your personal rate :)

You are using sand or soda for blasting ?

I add all info like this in the video description its OK now as its still fresh in my head but after a week or so I will have forgot haha its crushed glass fine + sillica sand (kiln dry sand) is banned in the UK since the 60s but the name stuck. Soda wouldn't do much of anything other than make a massive mess 😊👌

@@Mobileblaster i thought that it was not sand but something much agresiv couse sand wont blast that efectiv paint. Im sandblasting for years and i know what kind of paint sand could blast away

@@Baranekk89 I will let you in on a little secret kiln dry sand sillica sand pavor sand is the best media for removing paint 🤙 but it's illegal to blast with in the UK I've used it before I knew. It rips through paint rust rot scabs. It's very dangerous to your health and other around you apparently free sillica can travel miles and infect anything that breaths air and could lead to silicosis best just not to use it 😉 although it dose the job of many grades all mixed into 1 media it's very cheap and extremely easy to get hold of 😳

@@Mobileblaster i used to use that kind of sand but now its baned in Poland too. Its good and cheap but dont blast all kind of paint or the efford of destring the paint was not profitable

@@Baranekk89 I've had good results with sand obversly powder coat and finishing like that are hard to remove but any media will be the same. Sillica sand 1 grade can do the job of crushed glass fine to medium+ all in 1 pot not the size of partials the media its self is soft but yet its hard in a way scale/rust is easy to remove

Crushed glass makes a nice clean finish don't you agree? Possibly would be the wrong media to blast a rust wagon but perfect for this 1 😊

@@Mobileblaster i live in vermont and get alot of rust frames what would you use on a rusty frame, dump truck bed or rusted metal? on the other hand what do you suggest to strip a vehicle like a car?
