Absolutely love the way that blanket is working up. If you need more of the brown I can probably help, I may even have that exact Wool Barn yarn somewhere in stash! Can't wait to see the socks and so glad you liked the yarn (and I hadn't duplicated your own purchase!). Maybe one day I'll have a go at the bag - I loved your original monochrome version. See you soon (sort of) my knitty friend 😘❤

Hello, Sandra. I know I’ve said it before, but thank you for your podcasts. I really enjoy them! The granny stripe blanket is beautiful...it reminds me of the ocean...the water, sea foam, pebbles, and sand. And your new bag is just gorgeous! I just ordered some fabric with a strawberry pattern as well as some red and white gingham (which, I might add, I do NOT need...), so I may have to get brave and finally sew a bag. There is something so delightfully cheerful about strawberries! Do forgive the rambling. While I do have my kiddos and my husband to speak with, they don’t quite get all of the crafty talk 😊

Liona E Hi Liona! I totally get it too it’s hard to not get out and speak with crafty friends too.

Oh yes, I agree, we definitely need to have some 'crafty chat' don't we? My lot don't really get it either, although they do politely listen to me waffle about it sometimes, you can see their eyes start to glaze! 😂 Thank you so much for the kind comments, honestly they make such a difference. Some weeks I really feel like I shouldn't upload as the podcast seems to just be waffling nonsense and I wonder why anyone would watch it, so I do appreciate the boost! ☺️😘😘

Oh my goodness, Sandra! Thank you so very much for the shout out! Seriously! That was so very kind of you! And those socks are incredible! I have never knit socks but it is something I really want to do. And I think your cherry bag turned out absolutely gorgeous! And your kitty hissing at your little doggie at the end cracked me up. That happens here as well! Thank you again, I am so humbled that you mentioned my teeny tiny channel! Mmmmwah!

Hi Sandra! I love your granny stripe blanket and how you've chosen to work with the brown. The blanket is turning out quite well, looking lovely in the sitting room. Looking forward to seeing the finished blanket 🙂 The fabric you're creating with Alpaca Drops silk is divine. I may see if I can make a cushion cover, as I'm not very confident with making a cardigan just yet. Your cherry pattern fabric for the bag catches the eye with the striped pattern fabric, for sure. It does seem to be a versatile bag! 😍 So happy to see how you and your family are getting on throughout the COVID-19 quarantine. It makes my heart smile e and feel the love. Thank you for sharing these familial moments 🙂

Thank you!! I'm definitely glad to have settled my mind on the colour issue, as now it is the relaxing project I wanted it to be. Yes garments can seem a little daunting can't they? It took me ages to feel ready to do one myself! But once you get going, they're not so bad.

You have many beautiful things in the making!! I love them all! I was one of the ones that said to keep the dark brown yarn in your stripey blanket, and I still think it looks great!! 😊 sooooo pretty!! I enjoyed the vloggy bits at the end too! Thank you for sharing! Enjoy your week! (from Indiana)

The blanket matches the living room so well. I would confine spacing the brown, until it is gone. Love you music at the end, each piece is so well placed and relaxing.

Oh my goodness, that Dodgy Bag is just crying out for its own pattern someday!! Absolutely adorable! And if one ends up putting heavier objects in it, the stiffer handles would really be better, I'm thinking. Anyway, LOVE the Granny Stripe blanket - gorgeous colors! Always so enjoy the podcast!
@CherryHeart4 жыл бұрын
Oh thank you! I really must get started on a pattern for it because I do kinda like how it's looking. Thank you for such kind words. I think you're right, the heavier handles would definitely be good when it has something heavier in it. They kind of 'feel' right for it too, if that makes any sense? They are just slightly odd when it's empty! 😂

Aww, love the ending seeing your family & Bertie running outside. I wonder how many more steps his little legs have to take to cover as much ground as we do?😄 Poor little guy wanting his bed but kitty not willing to give it up. He looked so lost about it.

I loved the podcast and the little slice of life at the end. Your bread!!! So perfect looking. It looks so professional. I have the Faded Painted Roses blanket on my lap and I'm doing an alternative border. I wanted a thick fancy border because this will be for an auction benefiting a youth organization called Camp Fire. I'll send you pictures when I finish. Take care.

Your blanket is beautiful - you're so inspirational! I'm trying my best to learn crochet but being a lifelong knitter, I can't get my head around holding the yarn in my left hand.

Glad you kept the brown stripe (I was one of the people who thought it looked good). I think it looks beautiful, you've chosen a good spacing so it highlights the other colors instead of overwhelms them. Just lovely!

I like the brown in but if that is all of the brown that you have, I might go awhile without the brown. I would put it on the other end. That way if you run out it will still look wonderful. I love your current wips. Please stay safe! I love your bags!
@CherryHeart4 жыл бұрын
Yes you're right, I think I'll have to space the brown out a bit. On the plus side though, it doesn't seem to take too much to do a row, so I should be able to get a few out of this bit. Look after yourself. ❤️

What interfacing do you use for your bags and where do you buy it??????
@jackielubeck4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lovely.... I started a granny square stripe after watching your last video, doing it with actual scraps of worsted, and it looks ok. I’m looking at the colours, just going row by row but there MUST BE A TRICK for the ends?! Do you weave in the ends EVERY ROW or do you have the trick. Mine is just all the solid colours but it looks great. Hope you happy-ish. I quite like the situation. So far. (I’m also making a basket to keep the scrap balls in, and when that’s over I’ll use the basket as a ..... a basket.)
