Respect for Sankrant but his explanation that there is assumption that Indians speak English and hence they are successful is wrong to start with. No one is assuming that. The ground reality is any high end scientific or engineering or medical work in present times is in English. Hence you are always a 1000 times better at studying those if you understand English. This is one discussion in India that we need kids warned against. Please learn English and your mother tongue too. As kids you brain is flexible enough to learn 4-5 different languages at expert levels. Exercise this blessing while you are young. Don't loose your lives in debate around what language to learn. Especially if you are in General category, our court system have given blank check to politicos in form of reservation. You opportunities will greatly reduce even further. So don't get involved in this language debate. Learn and move out of India whenever you get opportunity.

And so he says have those books translated to your native language instead of English. As it is proven that education in native language is faster for a child to learn.

"The ground reality is any high end scientific or engineering or medical work in present times is in English. Hence you are always a 1000 times better at studying those if you understand English". This statement itself is wrong, the ones who imposed English wanted us to believe this. Except few countries(having English as their first language and colonized countries), all the other countries teach medical and engineering(all the scientific studies) in their native tongue. THIS is the ground reality. We will get 1000 time better if we study in our native language not the other way around, enough research papers have proved this time and time again. Today many scientists write research papers in English and in their native language, we Indians do not do this as it is considered unscientific to write scientific research in Indian languages, we have had this deep rooted inferiority complex for a long time. "Don't loose your lives in debate around what language to learn."

@@vidit9970he is talking of current reality, if 21 Indian official languages have to compete with 22nd official language that is English, it needs linguists not only proficient in these 21 official languages but also in 22nd. Today if travel in Northern India or in central or western, language quality has deteriorated, mother tongue of these regions or Hindi or even English none is having good written or oral command. Language is full of slurs, abuses and expletives, quality is hardly found in ordinary masses or even in college or universities.

@@carrad123456 I'm only taking about the current reality. I have worked with students and university professors from European, Middle Eastern and other Asian countries for few years. It is only then that I got to know how respectful they are towards their languages. They are also not as proficiat in English, but they don't feel the same amount of inferiority complex as Indians. They have always studied in their native tongue so their understanding of the subject matter is more robust than that of Indians. We Indians have built-in brilliance so some students excel in their studies and do well in the corporate world(These students will get attention from Indian media when they achieve something), while most of the Indians students are just 'jugaadu'. They either pay someone to write their assignments and copy in the exams to just pass the semester, while juggling 2-3 part time jobs(these students work as coolies in foreign countries, mostly found in IT industries). I am talking about students who are enrolled in very good universities, imagine the students of the lesser known unis and colleges. When asked they all give similar answers that, they just want to get out of the country so they're not very serious about the studies; They are not very proficient in the language English so what's the point in studying properly; Even if they don't study they will be more successful in the industries than the Westerners (This is true because we know how to adept and work hard). If we have taught them in their regional languages these students could have moved mountains. But we have built this false perception that English and English based education is everything. We do not have to compete with English, our own knowledge system already exists in our own languages(which is better than the Western one), we only have to implement it again. If someone wants to learn English, he/she won't be denied. But it is not just or wise to impose English based education on all the students. If we want, we can translate the current scientific discoveries and concepts in our languages and teach the next generation (just like China, Russia, Germany, Japan etc.). You are right, the quality of language has degraded in general in India. Parents don't even want to put their kids into their native medium. The reason is that we are swimming against the current, the kid who is use to speaking & hearing the language, is not being property taught in schools, instead English is being imposed, hence we only developed a hotchpotch of languages and a semi-developed brain, which is horrible. This doesn't mean that we should abandon our languages. There are many linguistic experts in all the states, we should make use of their experience and knowledge. We will fall if we fail to get a PROPER hold of our languages(Including Sanskrit). Slogans and social media movements cannot actually save a civilization. First thing is accepting that we messed up, which we are unable to do. How sad and pathetic this "Hindu rashtra(?)" is.

Macaulay Children are doing well in Nigeria. Because Macaulay method was adopted each and every Nigerian. In India Muslims rehected and stuck to the Madrasa system. Only Brahmins and Upper Caste in India adopted the Macaulay System. They flocked into MCC, Presidency Colleges.

No, Macaulay system was never even a significant thing uptil WW1. And most jobs of those times were clerks, policemen and soldiers. The best private occupation at that time was that of a lawyer and ICS was mostly closed to Indians even upto WW2.

The concept of Caste division itself is not Indian, it's a superimposition of the Spanish/Portuguese caste system and the English Class system in India, intending to divide the natives and use them against each other while the English hold power and work as a mediator. Caste was a pyramid scheme that Europeans sold to Indians via their English imposition in Indian society to divide Indians into groups/ghettos and make them fight with each other.

Please read the book 'The Beautiful Tree' by Dharampalji. It is pure western-leftist propaganda that only Brahmins had access to education before the British arrived. Vedic gurukuls (dominated by Brahmins) were just one of the many educational institutions among several hundred that flourished in Bharat. There were other institutions that admitted non-Brahmins and imparted general education😇

@@praveenp5281if that is the case, then why non brahmins, as well as non rich kshtriyas and non rich other jatis have so less percolation of education even post 1947? Do you have research paper or some document which talks of state of education between 9AD to 18AD for non brahmins, non rich kshtriyas, non rich baniyas and other jatis. Plus what was ratio of women or girl children in these institutions at that time?

@@carrad123456 Not just India, but every country has intellectual, administrative, business, and labour classes. The British destroyed the local trade and industry in India that were primarily skill-based and didn't necessarily require a University education. Brahmins being the intellectual class could easily adapt to the English education and prosper post-independence and liberalisation. Even today, India's gross enrollment ratio in higher education is pretty low-despite massive efforts by successive governments. This only shows that not every person can adapt to the traditional college/University style of education. For indepth research and insights, please read the book 'The Beautiful Tree' by Sri Dharampal.
