Dimash has a masters degree in music. He was supposed to work on his doctorate but COVID happened. We don’t know for sure that he is working on his doctorate, now. Dimash is not just a singer, he’s a composer, he has produced and directed several music videos. He has won several awards. One bit of info, Dimash never lost his high notes at puberty like most boys. He practices 3 hours a day when he can. He has a vocal coach, he says that if Pavarotti can have a coach into his seventies, so can Dimash! His mother is an opera singer. That instrument is called Kobyz. It’s one of the world’s oldest instruments. It only has 2 strings. DO NOT put Dimash in a box because he will destroy it so bad that you will not recognize it. He is only 29 years old! Dimash and the composer of this song, Igor Krutoy (at the piano), often use archetypes in their music. This epic piece evokes the journey of soul (wandering in ancient times, haunted by memories, and lost loves ) as it finds itself in an expanded state of awareness (new ground, chance to know who I am, begin again). Great honest reaction. ❤ Yes the mastery and management of one's vocal skills is everything. Dimash practises and swims daily to keep skills sharp and improve breath control. Notice how he stood up after a 20 second note not even out of breath to shout out Igor, the pianist and composer. Dimash has many "over the top" vocal athlete type songs like Stranger, Ave Maria, and Daybreak/Bastau but he also has many beautiful emotional songs where the skills are more subtle like Marigold, Omir/2023. Then he has fun songs like Give me your Love/2021, Screaming, or Be With Me Mv. I would like to recommend a beautiful song based on a letter sent home by a soldier in 1916. Not as over the top in vocal acrobatics, but in the native Kazak tongue( captions), haunting, unique and with traditional instruments. He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. Thanks for a great reaction. Igor, the pianist and composer has written several songs specifically for the range and complexity of the voice of Dimash. I would suggest Ogni Pietra next, either from the Arnau tour or the digital concert, put on during the pandemic. The violin type instrument is called a kobyz and Dimash likes to incorporate it in many of his songs. It brings a unique sound, very Kazakh. Dimash likes the people surrounding him, to get their credit too.

I’m so glad you didn’t dismiss Dimash after My Heart Will Go On. One of my least favourite Dimash performances too. I can’t wait to see you watch more from him. Hello ! Dimash continues very criative and active. A few weeks ago he performed a beautiful duet with the great tenor Placido Domingo called The Pearl's Fishers duet. And last week he released his new video called When I've got you which reached a million of visualizations on KZfaq in a week. It's simply incredible. Your reaction was heartfelt and very enjoyable. There are always a few complainers, no matter who the reactor is. Of course most of us expect you to "react" , so no need to explain. I suggest "Sinful Passion" from his Arnau concert ( the thumbnail has a red background), not the version with A Studio (thumbnail has blue background). The Arnau version has the camera focused on him most of the time instead of shots of various band members performing rather lathargically during the best vocal parts of the song. (That camerman, or director, should have been fired for messing that up!) Anyway... greetings from a Las Vegas Dear!

Temos as seguintes vozes: Baixo, barítono, tenor (respectivamente vozes masculinas para baixo, médio e agudo). Temos também, as vozes: Contralto, Mezzo soprano e Soprano (respectivamente para vozes graves, médias e agudas femininas). Detalhe: Dimash alcança todas! Porém o "controle" é visível! Como você disse: "Ele sobe e desce por escadas vocais"... Dimash é incrível. Durante toda a minha existência, quiçá, durante séculos, nunca houve um cantor com tantos talentos e alcance vocal tão extenso, o qual ainda apresenta qualidade. Além do alcance vocal, ele atua, dança, tem presença de palco, domina técnica de microfone, canta em doze idiomas, é multi instrumentista, canta em diferentes estilos, enfim, é um cantor maravilhoso. Durante suas músicas, ainda utiliza vibrato, vocal fry, whisper, voz de peito, voz de cabeça, em uma transitoriedade entre tais técnicas, enfim, é um artista completísssimo. E o que mais me impressiona: Mesmo sendo considerado o melhor cantor do mundo, ainda é humilde, bom para seus pais, irmãos e fãs. Obs. Sim, ele segurou aquela nota, no final, por 20 s, um tempo impressionante, ademais no agudo que estava emitindo... Abraço do Leo. Brasil.
