No stranger to human performance, Lindsay served 6 years as a member of the SAS, regarded by many as the best special forces organisation in the world serving in multiple operational theatres such as Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq before retiring in 2005.
Post service he worked as a Security Risk Specialist for CNN News in Iraq, embedding with US military on multiple occasions before working as personal bodyguard to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
In 2007 he set up Elite Performance in Hereford, specialising today in lifestyle and Mindset coaching for men over 30 as part of his Modern Warrior Project among which are many post and currently serving special forces operatives.
Lindsay was also a competitive bodybuilder from 2006-2014, competing in 20 national contests and winning multiple bodybuilding titles including Mr Wales Mr Scotland, Midlands Champion, 2 x Mr Hercules and finishing top 4 in UK twice.

It should have been said that in every single book from the cast of who dares wins, they do all clarify that the program isn't really representative of selection and that the biggest difference is the shouting, that said I am not sure it would make such good TV with out bloody scary guys shouting, also I have no military background so I am happy to be told to shut up and get back in line

David sweeting mate , that programme is absolutely nothing compared to selection trust me . I’m ex military but all of us who have served know what’s involved and required to pass that course and it’s nothing like that show. Yes it’s TV but it annoys me because that programme sends out a message which is ill represented about SF. The hills phase alone weeds out the weak , the jungle phase is hell from what I’ve been told by my Staff Sgt who done selection but got a fail at the end. The SAS are the elite and always will be

@@Realist-2506 In fairness I don't think anyone with half a brain thinks that the show is similar to actual selection. End of the day its a good show and has allowed a few ex SF guys to launch successful post-military careers. No harm done in my opinion

It’s entertainment. Doesn’t have to be exactly the same and it’s not played out to be the same.

I guess it's akin to Top Gun the movie.. most of us loved the movie, but it's quite a distance from the average life an elite fighter pilot.
