The TV on top of a broken TV unlocked a memory of our young married days in the early 90’s. We swore we’d get the big TV fixed but could never afford it. The 13” on top of the 27” was the general aesthetic of our life back then. 😂 Wouldn’t trade that time for anything now! ❤

If I am not mistaken Lilsimsie build this house. I agree the object should have functionality if you have season. Sims 2 have stuff like this because you were supposed to buy the expansions in the order they released. Some lots would have missing objects if you didnt have previous packs. The brick object make sense because you are supposed to only see it on visible walls, you wouldnt see the broken wall from the other room.

Imagine if the heart bed were fixable with maxed handiness skill or smth and it'd be the actual bed after that

The functional vibrating Hart bed IS available... As a mod. I got that mod over a year ago and it works well. EA's quality control team is the PLAYERS ! EA's play testing team is ALSO the players.

I think EA should have made the old tv functional for those of us whom do historical play. Right now playing Morbid's Ultimate Decades Challenge that starts in the medieval era. Got a long way to go to get to the time where that TV will need to be used.

I think it's okay that you can't see some of the decals from the back because if you were standing on the other side of the wall you couldn't see it. Of course some might be good for windows.

I characterize my relationship with Sims 4 as abusive. The game always promises it will get better, says don't live me, I promise I will change. And I stayed with them, thinking the game used to be so fun, we had so much fun together in sims 2 and 3.

Unpopular take - Kits should've just been updates to pack! Greenhouses is a genius update for seasons, extra content for existing packs! It would've earn EA less because people actually buy kits.... I'll never buy a kit don't see the need even for 1 dollar just for 10 decorations...

I think one of the best things Sims could have done with the heart bed.....have it the same as it comes in the pack. BUT, make it so that if you have a high handiness skill you can repair it to make it useable!

Never seize to surprise me how many corners Maxis always cut if its coming top down or not is hard to say. Was disappointed you couldn't have repaired and used/broken version of stuff there so it could be repaired with basement stuff.

I would've even settled for them making the basement treasures heart mattress buildable into the proper heart bed and then u can upgrade it to vibrate. That would have been fun game play to add in and justified it being "broken".

i think it makes sense to not be able to see the other side of the poster wall decos. walls disappear in walls down and they arent usable objects like mirrors

I can actually see why they didn't add the functionality to the table in the greenhouse kit. The only thing the mod did was draw my attention to how hollow(er) and shallow(er) the kit would be if you didn't have seasons. At least with projection screen with the campers kit had functionality with just the base game. Whereas the greenhouse kit... pretty decorations!

Allegedly, in my opinion, it's absolutely pathetic that EA leaves out an obvious feature that modders can add in a matter of days. EA is just inexcusably bad. Can't wait until Paralives and LBY provide some much-needed competition.

MY GF WORKED AT EA AS TESTER (LANGUAGE TESTER BRANCH). The main reason why shit hit the fan with quality cos main testing was located in Spain, and since 2022 ( 7:07 mentioning wedding stuff by you ) there was a law passed in Spain that changed a the way contracts for workers were enforced. THUS they probably wanted to fulfill what they had ASAP, cos there was a lot of reconstruction going on in testing cos they literally had to start a new company that's 'not ea'

Yeah, they shouldnt withhold items unless you have certain packs, but giving items extra functionality if you have packs wouldnt be bad in any way

Modders own Sims now. It wouldn't be as popular or playable if it wasn't for them.

Even if they wanted to do DLC for DLC, there's a big difference between doing that years after the first pack vs just a few months.

The indoor plant thing was already a personal let down. I expected some gameplay...but at least the items were a nice addition. This greenhouse kit is downright a shame imo. Greenhouse should have been a game pack coming with Terrarium skills:activities, propagation skill/activity, humidity control some new varieties of plants and vegetable, planters etc ... Hell if they even wanted to go ALL the way the trend nowadays is to use beneficial insects in the greenhouses instead of pesticides, they could have reused some of the anim and items from outdoor retreat and others to add ladybugs in the greenhouse, some mites, butterflies etc. Shame on EA. I am a quite easy customer, but I've had it with the latest game expansions and these two kits. There is so much potential and every time now they fall short.. You could even have had on big extra object as a greenhouse (aside from the one you build like a house) on the side and have different settings like "Setup for tropical plants", "Setup for organic gardening", "Setup for floral cultivation".... The possibilities with the term Greenhouse are HUGE !!!! And they made this ... Shame on you EA shame.

modders should have priority with early access. not youtubers who don't even test the game when they have early access. that way modders can also work on their mod updates as soon as possible. giving it to youtubers like lilsimsie (who will never tell you what's wrong with the game) is nothing but PR and free marketing for EA. I'd rather have it given to modders, because 1.) they probably know how to spot a bug, and 2.) like I said earlier, they can start working on fixes on their mods as soon as possible. Yeah, yeah I know, they won't do it. again, it's free marketing for EA, they couldn't resist cutting corners.

The only people who enjoy The Sims 4 without mods are builders (and the more creative one use TOOL) and people who don't really care about how their sims look and/or don't really look for create different stories and all that sh*t so with the basics they have enough.

Everyone complaining about the modders not getting paid... but literally ALL OF THEM have youtube channels with TENS OF THOUSANDS of subs that are making them upwards of $3-5k + a month in ad revenue alone.... soooooooo.... just saying.

I would have been nice if EA had made it cross pack compatible, but of course people would complain. No matter what, people are going to complain. This is the internet. I think letting mods fix it, is perfect. Almost everybody wins. It is too bad for those who don't play on PC, but they are in the minority and are less likely to complain because they aren't even playing on their PC. If I were the Sims team, I would be looking for the path of least resistance for a variety of reasons. Avoiding putting in more effort just to receive an equal amount of complaints is one.
