We’ve been told for decades that eating Saturated Fat increases our risk of Heart Disease and Early Death. Problem is, there are at least 3 randomized, controlled human studies, several meta-analyses and now a State of the Art Review showing this to be untrue. Replacing animal fats/fruit seed fats with vegetable oils Always leads to worsening heart disease, increased chronic inflammation and increased cancer risk.
Ask your questions in the comments. I will try to answer as many questions as possible.

So, on my 33 birthday I was told by doctors that they thought I had thyroid cancer I needed water pills, cholesterol pills, metformin, thyroid pills and the list goes on. They told me I needed to eat mostly veggies. Blood work got worse. My systems got worse. It actually felt like my heart was stopping/skipping beats. I stopped ALL medications. Stomach problems kept up with eating chicken and veggies and fruits and occasional breads. Than I did a high protein, low fat and all my weight that I had lost had come back on over a year and a half time. Stomach pain and fear to eat was back. Today is my 3rd day on carnivore and I keep waiting to be doubled over in pain and nothing, no pain. I’m using the bathroom normal. This is all kinda freaking me out because for 10 years I did what doctors told me and they made me sicker. I find your channel.... and I feel like for once a doctor helped me.

I'm an RN with 20 years experience and 3 of those 20 years was on an acute cardiac floor. The majority of our patients were there being monitored with telemetry, awaiting or recovering from receiving a stent, or being prepped and recovering from bypass surgery. Our "typical" patient, with many exceptions of course, was men, usually age 50 to 65, obese, with multiple comorbidities, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, the usual suspects. But when we would take their history, when asked to describe their diet, it wasn't mostly animal products, meat, full fat butter, bacon. They had diets high in sugar, simple carbs, used seed and vegetable oils. Yes they ate some meat BUT I NEVER saw people on a strict carnivore diet, yet I WOULD see vegetarians and vegans

A person who is vegetarian or vegan, but eats poorly like you described "diets high in sugar, simple carbs" are going to be ill. How many vegans and vegetarians did you treat who ate properly? Just because someone is a veg-head doesn't mean that they're eating healthfully - you should know that! It has nothing to do with the veg diet and everything to do with poor choices about salt, sugar and the wrong kinds of oils. Yes, SOME veg oils are bad, like corn, but others are very good, like flax, sesame, avocado, olive, and canola. To lump all veg oils together is incredibly myopic.

@GlennsFastReviews
@GlennsFastReviews 11 ай бұрын
@@PandaEinsteinn Unless you can provide scientific studies that support that seed oils are bad, I'm going to disagree with you about them. I agree that avocado and olive oil are good, but canola has been shown to be good, too, as have flax, sesame (which has been in use for thousands of years despite the lies Nina Teicholz spread), and others. Coconut and other palms, as far as I know, are not safe because of the large amount of saturated fat. Keep in mind, however, that the main source of trouble for our health after the 1970s committee report was altered by lobbyists was the excessive use of salt, sugar and oil in processed foods, combined with the previous development of trans fats (thanks, Crisco!) - not seed oils in specific. Also, corn oil is not, by itself, a good oil to use because it lacks the necessary omega 3s to balance all of the omega 6s in corn.

I've always described myself as a "cowgirl" because I love beef so much. But for the longest while I limited how much beef I ate because I bought into the lies that red meat is bad, fat is bad, that I'll die early for eating a lot of meat. Thing is my body craved red meat. I'm always excited about special events because I'd always recommend a steakhouse. Ever since I switched to eating carnivore, I'm so much happier. My body is happier. Pain/soreness went away. Diabetes gone. Skin is glowing. Blood pressure down. Anxiety is finally manageable without medication. I get so mad now that I've kept myself sick all these years because I listened to doctors' advice thinking that they knew better when, all the while, my body knew what was needed to heal because I always craved red meat!

I drink only mineral water w/fresh lime juice. I'm 67 and feel GREAT. No aches or pains. I row a boat and skim board at the beach and take long walks on the sand 7-days a week. You might be short of D3 get a 25Hydroxy Vit D test. Should be in the range of 45 to 70 or so, se Doc Derry's video. Add some K2, this carboxilates Osteocalcen (activates?). Helps mobilize Calcium and puts it in your bones. One of the places to pick it up is Calcium deposits, so the speculation I have read. It occurs in some foods and doesn't seem to bother people who eat a lot of those foods but is missing in most modern diets. Hope this helps. I can't wait until my next blood tests in late May. I'm dying to show my VA primary doctor that my decades-long high triglyceride condition is gone for good, all while doing exactly the opposite she told me to do and without fenofibrates or statins. I'm 56yo and have been on Carnivore since January 2023. I haven't been this slender or felt this good and energetic since my 30s when I was still in the military. Great video Dr. Berry!

For all interested on my blood results, thank you. I finally got them done on June 10th. The comparison (baseline) results are from December 13th, when I started Ketovore although I later switched to carnivore in late March. I'm 6'1" and down to 158 lbs from 189 in December (weight control wasn't the motivator to go carnivore). Cholesterol up 557 from 242 (this is good, not bad and expected, I was told), Triglycerides down to 162 from 420 (on a downward trend). I have to remind myself that I've had them up to 700s in the past (Sept'22). I also fasted for 20+ hours before this test as I'm mostly on one meal a day. I was told afterwards that fasting longer than 14 hrs before tests is not recommended as it can skew the trig results up, oops. I'll keep that in mind for next one. They're going down substantially though so Im content. HDL is up to 52 from 36 (40-60 is the normal range), LDL up to 461 from 160 (not sure about this one without and advanced cholesterol study but based on other numbers, not much of a concern I was told), and finally, fasting glucose down to 83 from 115. My last-30 day glucose average is at 84 so technically, my A1C is 4.5, down from December 5.63. My glucose and triglycerides are in the downward trend so I''ll stay the course and not place much attention to 'high' cholesterol, or LDL. I also got a CAC test done and I scored

Thank you! I love having this research, you don’t know how many people expected for my husband and I to drop dead from a heart attack when we started Keto and IF. My husband and I are both scientist, we researched both Keto and IF and our bodies agreed with what we found. We spent our 30s eating low fat ( we never questioned the notion) and our cholesterol numbers were great, but everything else was going haywire. We are beyond grateful!

I’ve had what I know now as metabolic syndrome since a teenager and have been on high blood pressure since I was 21. No Dr could figure out the cause of this High BP, and chalked it down to “hereditary”. I simply believed that I was unlucky and “stuck” with this unknown issue! Been doing carnivore since February to the horror of my family and Dr, but I’m no longer taking High BP meds anymore and I don’t crave foods & snacks anymore- it is liberating to be in total control and having the knowledge of what is good for me and what is bad for me!

Omg I would love to have a keto-savvy doctor! And a Peat-savvy one with massive experience treating thyroid issues! Am really tired of having to educate these supposedly educated people just to keep them from trying to kill me. The return of saturated fats might just be the end of Big Pharma, along with hydroxychloroquine, mms and colloidal silver. Since infectious diseases, poor hygiene and food poisoning used to be what killed most people before Seed Oils... Refrigeration, sanitation laws and practices, and antibiotics fixed all that... So "they" needed a new and profitable way to kill people off?? Am thinking "they" are literally not human...maybe aliens from other planet, and definitely not holding humanity's best interests in their hearts. Because who else thinks that way?

@stellasternchen
@stellasternchen Жыл бұрын
Butter is dairy fat. There are studies suggesting diary fat is an exeption and does not increase cardiovascular risk. Margarine is highly processed, most plant fats are oily when extracted and have to be refined and processed into solid shape. That is no real plant oil. real plant oil are cold pressed and are not tasteless. And margarines might still have resitual trans fats. So yeah they choose butter, because it is more healthy besides there are lots of saturated fat

My parents would get minimal store bought staples like coffee. Nothing went to waste. Summer & Fall was spent canning & processing foods to get us thru the seasons. Why don't more people in the healthcare field know MORE about all this? I feel like if you truly have a passion for the field and for helping others in their health, that all doctors, nurses, etc... would be doing extra research on their own time, aside from what has been taught/being taught in school for them. I am a nursing student and I am so passionate about health that I almost obsessively do extra research on anything and everything that is brought up to me in school or that comes to my little mind...I question EVERYTHING. I want to know as much as possible, understanding I won't always be correct. I come across soooo much information and insight doing this on my own time, how is it so many of my classmates, professors, and healthcare providers I have encountered have NO CLUE about any of this ... I dont just mean this particular topic. But all many topica Dr. Berry has covered. To name a few others that followers may be familiar with, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Baker, and many more. Have our doctors lost their passion to know MORE and catch up on their reading? I feel like If I limit myself to what is being taught to me in school, I am doing a disservice to any patient I will encounter.

I learnt a lot from you. Despite that I only tried keto for a short time and stopped, that's how much I loved sugar. 🙈 Recently though my husband's heart problem escalated and I remembered all I had learnt. I encouraged him to try keto and promised to join him in doing it, within 2 weeks of changing to the keto way of eating he was so much better. This is the fourth week and he's back to normal, I feel great too and this time I don't crave sugar at all. I'm sure that keeping up with keto will help us stay healthy. TWO delicious and easy ways to add fat is Blender Mayonnaise and Blender Hollandaise Sauce. MAYO: in a stick blender cup add 12oz lite olive oil (EVOO has too strong a flavor for me) 2 egg yolks, 1 Tbs. apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, 1/2 tsp mustard and 1 tsp salt. Start at bottom and blend while SLOWLY pulling up. If it doesn't whip up stiff and white then you went too fast-- just use it as a salad dressing. HOLLANDAISE: Heat one stick (4oz) butter until melted. In blender add 3 egg yolks, 1 Tbsp lemon juice, dash mustard and dash hot sauce. Blend while slowly adding melted butter. Great on steak, hamburger patty, eggs, greens, etc. It will keep at least a week in the fridge (we've never had it last longer than that).

You can do it by hand with a whisk or spoon, using one egg yolk in a medium-sized bowl, stirring in the oil very slowly, a few drops at a time. The mixture will start to get that nice soft and gooey texture as you keep stirring. Keep adding oil slowly. When you reach the desired consistency (about a cup of EVOO), you can add the lemon juice (not necessary but tastes great) drop by drop (will soften it) and salt (will harden it). If you eat garlic you can add crushed garlic. This is how the French have been doing it forever. Vinegar and mustard optional. I like it as simple as possible, just egg yolk(s), oil, and salt. Also gives your arm(s) a tiny little workout 💪🏼😁 ❤️ and there’s no blender to wash afterwards. Keeps a few days in the fridge but usually is scarfed down immediately.

The reports are available as soon as I went to the websites. Many people probably requested them. I started on the carnivore diet a week ago. I already feel my stomach shrinking. A great big Thank You for your video from West Palm Beach, Florida. I'm bringing the reports to my oncologist and GP.

My various doctors and specialists keep banging on about familial hypercholesterolaemia (gasp). I do NOT have FH and as a Type 1 diabetic lean mass hyper-responder, I always have fun eating so as to push my "cholesterol" as high as possible before a blood test. My last one was 13.2 mmol, but a couple of years ago, when I was in a more conciliatory mood, I gorged on coconut oil, olive oil and sardines for the fortnight before, when my cholesterol dipped to a measly 9.3. As for my last triglycerides and HDL, these were 0.6 and 27 mmol respectively, with which I was rather chuffed given that they consider triglycerides less than 2.3 mmol and a triglyceride to HDL ratio of less than 2.0 (mine being 0.22) to be ideal.

I'm watching you from Leander, Texas (just north of Austin). I have been watching you for just about a year and tried HFLC about the same time I found your information on youtube. I lost about 40 lbs in 6 months and felt great. I then stopped following HFLC and returned to my previous standard American diet and gained it all back and felt horrible. As a nurse, I considered this a little experiment on myself just to see if what you have been talking about is true. Needless to say, I have started HFLC again. I haven't done anywhere near the research you have but I definitely agree with what you are talking about regarding HFLC. I have tried to follow the recommendations from the ADA my entire life and it hasn't been good for me at all. I've developed cancer, diabetes, depression, anxiety, morbid obesity and many more. HFLC makes sense to me despite the fact that it goes against everything I was taught about nutrition in nursing school. Keep up the good work Dr. Berry! Keep the truth comin"!!! P.S. I haven't told my primary care that I've been following the HFLC diet. I'm waiting for my labs to come back then I'm gonna blow her mind! :-)

You are right Dr. Berry. Thank you so much🌷l've been consuming virgin coconut oil since 11 months now. My triglyceride is 61. And my total cholesterol is 220. An American vegan cardiologist says saturated fat increases the mortallity in US as the people eat lots of saturated fat. And AHA recommands seed oil, the unsaturated fat to prevent heart disease. That's why we are fat and sick.
