I JUST built a Sauron, the Dark Lord deck. Really excited to try it out and went with the Amass no brainers from WAR as well as some good wheel and recursion effects with some draw payoffs. The aristocrats route Is a really really cool and interesting route though and I didn't even consider it when initially determining where I wanted the deck to go. The on command wheel effect was my main draw to brew him. Will probably get some more things later like Teferi's Ageless Insight, Alhammeret's Archive and other recursion spells and draw payoffs as well but pretty pleased with my current build but still need to make some cuts.

Nice 5k subs hype brother. This is one of the most interesting commanders in a while with so many really different ways to build him. Ill certainly will build some form aristocrats out of it since the token generation will be so plentiful and well its grixis. Man Sauron's Ransom is a pretty insane card with 3 good effects draw, graveyard fill and a tempt trigger for just 3 mana and at instant speed. Some cards I would add are Anhelo, Blasting Station and maybe Mikaeus to bring them little orcs back.

I built him with 9 nazguls, both krenkos with dockside extortionist, treasure nabber, perilous pilferer, goblin welder (for both dumping one ring and getting it back or bolas' citadel or maskwood nexus) 17 ramp sources adding in all the 2 mana rocks and sol ring and wayfarer's... then just play out and aim to draw into insurrection or maskwood nexus and rite of replication with a nazgul on the board... looking for like 2 more big splashy win spells. tried to stay somewhat thematic and still be playable. not a lot of amass support outside of lazotep plating and that is defensive even though it will likely get binned... ran only commit/memory as a "counterspell" so I could reshuffle if I was losing too much to my own tempt triggers

Ovika and locus god are really good in the army versions of the deck.

I'm torn between a reanimation theme like tomer suggested or an aristocrats theme like this.
