Sausage Stuffed Banana Peppers with Rose

12 fresh banana peppers
~1 lb ground hot sausage AND mild sausage
½ cup mozzarella cheese
½ bread crumbs
2 t. minced garlic
Tomato sauce of choice
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F if baking immediately
2. Prepare peppers wearing disposable gloves: cut tops of the peppers and remove any large pieces of the ribs and seeds.
3. In a bowl mix sausage, cheese, bread crumbs, and garlic.
Stuff each pepper using the meat mixture.
4. To freeze: place in single layer in freezer bag, close tightly and mark.
5. To eat immediately: coat a baking dish with sauce. Layer peppers close together and cover with additional sauce.
6. Cover baking dish tightly with foil. Bake 40 minutes and check. Be careful taking off the foil- steam will escape! Check with thermometer, internal temp. should be 165°F. If needed, bake another 5-10 minutes.
7. Top with additional cheese, if desired. Let cool about 5 minutes before serving.

This looks delicious, I only have small banana peppers & hamburger meat at the moment, & cheese. So I'm off to my pantry to spice it up & make a little sauce for over the top & pan. @ cook @ 400 It ought to be done right about supper time ❤

Just a little hint for stuffing... Cut a small pc off the small end of the pepper.... It allows you to to get the rest of the guts out and makes stuffing then much easier as you will not have any air in the pepper... 👍👍😉

cool recipe, poke the bottom of the banana pepper with a toothpick and you can stuff meat to the bottom 😀

Just found your channel! I liked your recipe the best! Omg 😲 delicious!!! Loved them and froze some before cooking for another meal. Made a baked 🥔 with it. Put some of the sauce on top!!! Big hit!!! May make mashed potatoes next time. Pasta sounds delicious too!! Thank you!!🥰

Yes, you can. Put them frozen in a hot oven to reheat

Buy a big pair of needle nosed pliers to pull out seeds and ribs. Only use the pliers in the kitchen, they come in handy.
