.270 Win, .270 Weatherby, 6.8 SPC, .270 Winchester Short Magnum, .277 Fury, and there maybe a couple more SAAMI recognized calibers. This maybe "blasphemy" but I always wondered how good an M1 Garand would have been as a combat rifle in .270. Along with 6.5x55mm Swedish, .270 Win is one of my top favorite calibers.

Ahhh ya got me Tim, I need to sharpen up on my 270's. Totally forgot about the Weatherby and 6.8. Is the Fury available to the public yet? I don't think it's blasphemy, 30 calibers are great but 27's and 28's are just faster. Faster is flatter, back then, with open sights, I would have wanted flatter. I don't know though most shots were probably closer, so maybe the larger 30 performed better. Interesting to think about how it would have worked out if they chose a 270 though. Have a good one Tim!

A Mcarbo trigger spring will fix that 6lb monstrosity they call a trigger. For people asking these are always 250 during the cabellas fall classic sale,

I just got the mcarbo trigger spring and shim kit for this rifle and it is awesome! Went from 6.5 pound to 2 pound trigger. And they even have a 1.5 pound trigger spring I just thought that might be to light. And I got the desh bolt lift kit and it made the bolt a little better

I work at a rifle range and almost half of all deer rifles sighted in are 270's.

I have that same rifle. In 308. Did you change out the recoil pad ? That one looks better than mine. It looks like it has more cushion.

If that's a Weaver scope, the gun has no scope. The first thing you do is throw that scope in the garbage.

Had one on mine and it was accurate for like half a box of ammo. After that it drifted enough to be very noticeable. The glass sucks too. Immediately swapped my vortex 3x9x40 off of my 10/22. The weaver holds zero on the .22 and it’s good enough for plinking but still sucks. Kinda annoying that the bolt handle comes up so high and the stock weaver pieces are too far apart for many scopes. Some tall rings, 1 piece weaver rail, and a cheek riser and it’s awesome. Those issues + the heavy trigger are literally my only complaints with the rifle. Once those are fixed (about $100), the rifle is excellent.

Have you gone back out and shot another group with a cold barrel to see where it grouped. After all of those shots from this video, your barrel should have been quite heated.

Thanks for the comment Becthnk! It's 2 or 3 years old, I guess. I bought it a year or 2 ago, new. Bass Pro and Cabelas have some great Spring and Summer sales events. Have a good one and thanks for watching.
