Great review! I would love to see this monster in a city setting like San Francisco. I would assume it’s a much better option compared to the Atom, especially when it comes to ground clearance.

Thanks for the honest review of this vehicle, I'm from Dominican Republic and a offroad enthusiast, specially endurance rallying. I thought this was a "Jack of all Trades" vehicle but it's just an beffed up Atom for "some" Offroading experience. I have an Honda B20B Engine laying around and I was planning on building something with it. Maybe in a couple of years I'll take my time to build an offroad 3 seater inspired by this vehicle. Keep up the great and honest reviews!

17:48 That sound of the super charger whine took me immediately back to Top Gear when Clarkson said he had never been in anything that accelerates so quickly and you just hear the shrill of the acceleration and supercharger! Might not be huge agreement but I think this souds so much better than the newer turbo charged setup that Ariel is running on the Atom.

I'd really love one of these with a modest size/weight battery and a Tesla Model 3 rear motor or similar. Slight down on peak power from the Honda unit, but all the torque you can find a use for off-road. And no gear shifts. No stalls. Discrete exploring sleepy villages that never saw pavement. Or not pavement repairs since WW2. Capable to attack a serious WRC stage.

I'd want one of these with slightly more road-spec tires and NO supercharger, like it's offered in Europe. I don't need 300hp in dirt with something so small and light. It's just asking for trouble I'm not a rally driver. And saying how can you drive it without 4WD is such a typical off-roader thing to say. Rally cars did fine for decades without AWD and they still do, FWD or RWD, and you learn better control. Comes down to tires, chassis balance, and your right foot.

I would SO buy one of these or the Atom3 over a comparably priced 'performance' car. These things SLAM and they're NOT besotted with all the usual electronic gimmickry that goes wrong and costs a fortune to repair/replace after 36 months or less. Run a TDI Volkswagen or comparable for regular commuting and such, then have one of these for the weekends or whenever you feel frisky.
