On the 16th of January I had the front universal fail on my pickup, I was going about 20mph (30km/h) it caught a lip of a manhole. My pickup is a 2009 GMC WT. I found out how terrible our local bus system is! Going shopping 2 miles away takes 2 hours by all over the place bus route, exausting. If that was not enough, the bus' are loud, uncomfortable crates! Taking a Taxi 10 min across town is almost $25 and it was a micro Kia Taxi, I bashed me head getting in, and saw stars for most of the ride! Getting a new shaft was an adventure, my pickup is a regular cab with a 8 foot box a rare size here! All fixed today, so no more biking in the snow excepting pleasure! Love your adventures 🤠 🇨🇦 🇺🇸

Hey Justin loved what you were saying about shipping and receiving. I'm a Forman on the night shift for a large supplier for honda in Canada. When I was promoted to Forman management didn't want me driving forklift or the shunt truck anymore and I had to fight with them to allow me to get the drivers unloaded and on their way as quickly as possible. So alot of times the workers want to help but higher ups don't understand. I almost lost my position and they ended up taking 3 of my forklift drivers away because I wouldn't just sit at my desk. My dad was a life long truck driver so I always have the utmost respect for your profession. And remember everyone if you got it a truck brought it!!!

When you went to the shop side of Walmart, me and my husband, when caravanning in France for our holiday (we live in England), we would also call in at the vineyards, and always took the tour. At the end, there was plenty of wine tasting, but my poor husband couldn't do the tasting as he was driving, but I did all that. Although, one year we took the caravan up to Scotland, and we took a tour of the whisky distilleries, and I let him do the tasting, as I'm not a fan of whisky. Brandy (or Cognac) yes, which I did when we visited France. Took in Hennessey distillery🤣, and all the tours were absolutely free as well

Justin, you can also get an app for the phone called GASBUDDY... it can find the closest fuel prices and the cheapest... you can also get a card through them that will work like the ones you have to save some coin. You can also sort between different grades including regular and diesel and others.

It was $4.19 in NE Atlanta today for diesel. Fuel will jump 35 cents per gallon on Jan 11 due to the expiration of a fuel tax discount by the state of GA.

I drove coast to coast refer for 19 years, in that time I kept notes, addresses, phone #s and routes on every place I delivered to, I filled 3 three ring binders, when the Drs took my license away I gave them to the company I was leased to, you could do the same a lot easier with your I pad or whatever it is you use

I wish everyone delivered on a flatbed so receiver has more options to unload from trailer instead of just off the back of van trailer. Also flatbeds can drive thru warehouse instead of just backing to a door, if possible. At least receiver was giving you the heads up and what to expect

That QT is fairly new. They've held their prices low to draw customers. The Circle K had the lowest prices for Diesel fuel prior to the QT opening. The Pilot is old and rundown. The Love's has no competition at that exit and they are the nicest stop in the area, so they charge whatever they want to.

I drive a 4 wheeler. I go to pilot/flying J and get a discount on gasoline. It seems to be a good thing for 4 wheelers. Not sure about 18 wheelers though.

Hello Justin. I learned of another fuel card that may be worth looking at. It is TSD Logistics which leads you to myopenroads.com. I shared what you had said about the different fuel cards with another driver, and he said that he used to use them but uses the one I mentioned before, and they can't come close. I do not know how close is close, but maybe you have five minutes to look at it. Have good days!

Justin maybe you should keep some of that sealing tape in the truck in case something does put a hole in the tank so you can seal it up and not waste fuel and most of all the EPA people will like to give you a fat fine!!! Don’t see that happening but it’s better safe than sorry!!!!

This might be a little off topic because it might have to do with factoring but I think there was a company that is virtually impossible to get out of their contract if you use them for factoring. I think SGHS (South Georgia Hotshot) dealt with one. I was thinking of one with a similar name to RTS but I don't think it's fuel cards. Maybe it is but I think it's a factoring company. Anyway, I hope you read all the fine details regarding if you decide to get out of their contract so you don't screw yourself.

Hi, thanks for videos. On IFTA, sounds like you do it "manually"; if you have a Garmin GPS, there is an icon for ifta, if you put info in there every time you fuel, then at end of Qtr. you can print report off of your PC & do IFTA in like 10 min.. Just FYI. Ric / Marshall Trucking

We always book the best paying load's all the time. And I usually have Jessie Google nest cheapest place to get diesel fuel. Regular gas is cheaper and we have allot of Hot Shot Loads all the time and they pay good. Driver's loves it and they always take pics of places they want to see. A couple are at Colorado and will be in Montana tomorrow and they will stay there. Jackie tracks them cause we have tracking devices on all the hot shot trucks which are extended cab trucks. Glad u guys are home in et Katie was going crazy hell Jessie did when she first rode with me. The kids was like dam mom go have fun with Jesse (before we got married) Jessie would be like damnit I should have stayed in the truck with u. She has flown to cities that I had to deliver and the customer's are excellent people. I walked in a company and Jessie was there but disguised and was flirty. I was like dam women knock it off. She goes why and I said I am married. Jessie was like does she look like me. Amd I am like WTF the manager who is a good friend busted out laughing so hard he's actually crying laughing. He then goes that's ur wife Jessie and sue takes off the rig and I nearly missed the chair. She was like April Fool's and I was like damnit she got me good. Jessie's laughing so hard she's crying cause I am telling her what I am typing.

I really don't understand and I don't think it's right how these fuel and warehouses companies take money from you when you're doing all the work to get the product to them. Lumpur fee's, monthly fees for a fuel card, transaction fee's, it's not right that they take food off your family's table to fill there pockets. Sorry Justin I had to vent, every time I watch, someone has their hand in the cookie jar tring to take more money from the hard working drivers.

Although I think it would be an "idea" to have a naught/nice list, unfortunately, you are too popular to get away with it (probably) and have it not affect you in various ways that would most likely be negative. And sadly, you probably already know this as some things may have already happened due to your popularity or success. The reality is, with all of your videos and proclaiming "know your worth", many shippers or brokers may not like that you're trying to advocate that truckers get more money. And even though this shouldn't be a bad thing, the reality is, this isn't a good thing for shippers or brokers because it is working against them for making more money or keeping more profit themselves. And as such, you may not get some loads that you want as you're working with brokers. Or, some brokers may not be willing to negotiate with you as much as you would prefer so it's harder to get a good rate (at least what you consider "good"). My worry is, if you start making a naughty/nice list, you'll piss off some of the companies or brokers listed on it and as such, you'll have a harder time getting loads. And although you could think that there are plenty of shippers or brokers in the sea, the reality is, you know you are outnumbered by how many carriers (semi trucks and trailers) that there are out there that are your competition that can take the loads your bidding on for less. This happens already as it is. And obviously, this would not be good for you. I would like to see someone come out with that list and in my personal opinion, I think it would be interesting to put together a video montage of all of the "naughty" companies or people that you work with throughout the year. I think what you should do is from here on out, you just keep track of them and while you're editing your videos, you just keep track of each one (good and bad) by maybe writing down a short list with the time stamp of when it starts in the video and for how long or creating some sort of spreadsheet (I'm sure T Dubs is probably good at this but if she isn't, I'm sure I could create something simple for you or her that would be easy to use) and then compile a video of them and make your choice if you're going to upload it or not when the time comes. That way, as the end of the year approaches, you don't have to spend hours and hours going through footage or videos because you already know which ones you want to look at so you're not wasting time. At least that way, if you do decide to do it, it won't take that long. And if you don't, then it's not a big deal. As it's coming up to the end of the year, you could probably start editing the video so that you're not having to rush to put it together. Or, you just start now as you're putting together each video so it's already pretty much done at the end of the year. But, I would be careful of doing this as it may come back to bite you in the butt. I guess you'll have to make that choice. Maybe what you could do is just put together a "nice" list and just mention that if people have watched your videos throughout the year and you didn't mention the other companies on the "nice" list, then you just didn't feel they were qualified to get to that level. And maybe you don't say that they were "naughty" per se but that they just weren't "nice enough" to get on the "nice" list. Or, maybe you don't say anything at all. People should be able to figure out that if they aren't on the list, then they can draw their own conclusion whether it's right or wrong. At least that doesn't incriminate yourself. That way, you aren't really singling any one person or company out that may affect you getting loads in the future. --------- One thing I would really like to see you and T Dubs do is start a brokerage company. I think you've hinted to that or mentioned it in the past so perhaps you are actually working on that in the background but just haven't really wanted to mention anything yet. I think you would be very good and successful at this because you have a pretty good knowledge of the industry and I think you could figure out how to save the shippers money but also make the truckers more profitable. Plus, you seem to have a pretty patient demeanor so you can probably work well and communicate well with various people in the industry. I'm sure T Dubs is the same but I don't know. All the while, I'm sure you could figure out how to be profitable enough that you could grow it quite quickly to the point that you would just hire a few employees that would handle the logistics to the point that you or T Dubs would just essentially be "overseeing" the operations and wouldn't need to be there every hour of every day. I would think that this would give you both the ability to still have time to do what you want while running that company. But also, you could still drive within the company if you wanted to. ----------- Would you be willing to share what you pay in IFTA fees every quarter (roughly)? Or is yours at a different interval? ----------- The song was "When I think of you" by Janet Jackson.
