'Saved By The Bell' Stars React To Dustin Diamond's Death

Dustin Diamond's "Saved by the Bell" family is mourning his death at age 44. The actor, who was best known for his portrayal of Samuel "Screech" Powers on the hit sitcom, died on Feb. 1, less than a month after he was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer. Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Elizabeth Berkley were among those who shared tributes to their former co-star.

Aside from Mario, everyone gave him their backs and now they all of a sudden have words to say. I never liked when they would reunite and leave him out. Regardless of the drama, Dustin’s contribution to “save by the bell” was huge and important. May you Rest In Peace Dustin.

A lesson to be learned, never hold grudges. Everyone besides Mario now has to live with the fact that he died before they could reconcile.

The cast besides Mario never even considered him or defended him. Saved by the bell would have been dull without him.

I grew up watching this show. Dustin will be missed. For some of the young folks out there, this was a hit show in the late 80s and early 90s.

Dustin seemed legitimately sorry and contrite for his former behavior. I think he deserved a second chance. RIP.

The only 'silver lining' to the recent death of Dustin Diamond is that he was afforded the opportunity to celebrate his forty-fourth birthday several weeks prior.

Wow, I didn't see this one coming. So sad, lost a piece of history outside of saved by the bell series also rip Dustin diamond.

For those condemning Dustin, keep in mind the other main cast members turned their backs for years also on Lark Voorhies. It's a shame they shut that man out of the revival series.
