An enlightening evening as we delve into the world of pangolins, the world’s most trafficked mammal. The Scales Pangolin Rescue Fund is a collaboration of like-minded organizations and individuals dedicated to the conservation of these remarkable creatures.
Nature on Tap are honoured to host not one, but two esteemed members: Dr. Debbie English from Provet Animal Hospital and Emma de Jager from Umoya Khulula Wildlife Centre. Together, they will shed light on the challenges pangolins face, both from the illegal wildlife trade and other threats lurking in their natural habitats. They will provide invaluable insights into the struggles pangolins endure, from the trauma of captivity to the complexities involved in their treatment, rehabilitation and release, discussing the critical reasons behind it.
