The end of Saw 4 and finding out timeline wise that 3 and 4 are happening at the same time is a great twist.

Hoffman was so cruel with his traps that I always figured that if Strahm has gotten in the box, Hoffman would have activated some kind of poison in the box. I just assumed he had set it up for Strahm to be unable to win.

@10:15, plus I like to think when Xavier threw her into the Needle Pit, she knew EXACTLY what to find and instead sabotaged his chances by taking her sweet time in finding the key in a moment of payback for throwing her into the Needle Pit.

I love how John is throwing it back in the SAW 1 twist , idk why he did that but you go gurl! Love listening to you two talk about SAW,so good,keep doing what you are doing!

One 'twist' I also liked was when in Saw 2, the one angry guy realized he needed to see his own back of his neck for his number and then bam cut off the skin. That was quite something!

The plot twists is one of the reasons why i LOVE Saw films. "game being pre-recorded in Saw 2" was probably one of my jaw dropping moments, I loved it so much. Saw 2 is one of my favourite films but i'm ashamed as how LOW rated it is on IMDB, it's just fantastic. A twist I was hoping you'd put in the top 3 was that Saw 4's had a MASSIVE reveal where everything you watched happened in the past, when Strahm goes to where John's body is at the end of Saw 4 and then your mind just goes blank for a few seconds and you realise that everything Rigg went through was all in the past. I personally loved that twist.

A couple of things 1. Daniel in the safe and Hoffman being an apprentice can switch. After how he was acting in Saw 3 during the crime scene, the tape during autopsy in the beginning of 4, and him getting "kidnapped" without actually showing him being kidnapped gave it away. Hoffman being an apprentice was a very obvious twist and should be lower. 2. Not a Jeff hater, but no way Jeff had it worse than Eric Matthews... Eric Matthews had to deal with watching his son in the gas house being chased by Xavier with a knife. Then he gets trapped in the bathroom where he breaks his foot. Then after a fight with Amanda, he gets taken into a dungeon and held captive for 6 months. Then trapped AGAIN in Saw 4 only for him to die because of Detective Rigg's obsession with saving everyone. This is all happening while Eric doesn't know if his Son is alive or not. Eric Matthews 100% had it worse in this series than any other Saw character because he couldn't get a break after failing his first test. 3. Hoffman bribing Amanda to kill Lynn should be in there. It gives more backstory behind why Amanda acted the way she did in Saw 3. It also shows what was in the envelope that John told Amanda to get from the desk. Maybe John knew the entire time that Amanda was responsible for the death of Gideon. Maybe you can pull out Hoffman being an apprentice for this.

If number 1 isn't something that's not only burned into your mind but how this is in everyone's top 10, you know that's fucking amazing

7:50 While I get the twist with the glass coffin, on a rewatch part of me also feels like, had Straum entered the coffin, Hoffman still could’ve just left him in there to asphyxiate. Considering how Hoffman plays by his own rules, he probably had contingencies even if Straum played along and went into the coffin. He had no reason to free Straum from the coffin. Straum was a dead man either way, and he’d have been better off saving a bullet and shooting himself in one of his vitals, in the hopes he died before the walls closed in, to ensure a less agonizing death.

the twist from saw x not to be on the list is a crime. it adds so much sense that it apparently, that was Hoffman's debut and it revealed that him and Amanda were both on it all the way from the beginning (since Saw X took place between Saw 1 and Saw 2). for me, it was a major shocker when Hoffman was revealed and it adds everythijg up

In my opinion, Saw 1 and 2 had the biggest twist out of all. I remember going to the movie theaters to see Saw X thinking it won't have a big plot twist but oh boy was I wrong. I was surprised Saw X twist wasn't there.

I think the biggest twist is when it’s revealed that hoffman blackmailed amanda into killing lynn, Also her being the reasom jigsaw is who he is as he died

For me it was one of the biggest twist in Saw Just the fact that Jigsaw says "he is in a SAFE PLACE" and then we find the kid in a SAFE omg i love so much... Btw this 'joke' with the words isn't in the french version unfortunately but it was one of the biggest twist i had ever seen

One of my fave twists was from saw x where John predicted their ENTIRE plan all along. I NEVER saw it coming it was absolutely brilliant. The only part that went wrong was that the kid had to take amanda’s place, which was kind of another twist in itself. But it still turned out so incredible

Anything other than that moment being number one would have discredited your ability to make top ten lists. ;) I don't know if this moment should have been on top ten, but one twist that always sticks with me is the end of Saw V when they realize that all of the subjects could have escaped and the traps were designed for cooperation and sharing the burden. I don't always watch in "what happens next?" mode and don't fully remember if I saw this twist coming (I should have, really, because it was stated clearly by Jigsaw on tape at least once or twice.); but that reveal had me shook.

While not the most clever twist, my personal favorite twist is the reveal that Saws 3 and 4 take place at the same time. That was something I hadn’t heard of before when I watched Saw 4 the first time, I knew of later made films taking place between two previously released film, but not one that works concurrently with the previous film. In fact, with all subsequent films I have always kept it in the back of my mind that “maybe this film is like Saw 4 and takes place while [insert other entry] is occuring. I recall even thinking that with Spiral (before it was released) that it could have been revealed to take place at the same time as Jigsaw. I’m getting off track, but what I’m getting at is that Saw 4’s time twist was a game changer to me and that’s why it’s my personal favorite twist, even though I still think the ending twist of Saw 1 was a bit more clever.

I was totally on board until you put that as number 2. Saw 3D/The Final Chapter/7/That Shouldn’t Exist does not have any top 10 worthy moments (except for that key in the stomach trap, that was pretty decent as traps go). Saw 3 being a test for Amanda needed a shoutout. It was heartbreaking and brilliant. I also feel the Jeff/Lynne twist needed a shoutout included in Jeff that fateful choice. The way it was revealed all for him to disregard the lessons and result in killing her 😫😫😫

Can we talk about the fact that Jeff shouldn't really have been tested like that anyways? Like, John put the people who accidentally ended the life of his unborn child into tests. He couldn't let the life of his potential child go. Yet then he turns around to Jeff and is like "Man, you really got to forgive the person who killed your son and the multiple people who allowed that guy to walk free." Like, no /those/ people don't need to be tested, Jeff does? I don't understand where the logic went there.

amanda wasnt sus to the people that were with her but i was a bit sus bc her trap was to escape from a trap that was on her face and to get the key u need to cut from someone stomach so i was like "hold on she didnt have to do all that she didnt have to find anything or know and hidden secrets"

About Jeff - yes, I think of him as "Slow Mo-Fo Jeff", however what annoys me is him not making a decision until it's too late either way for almost every victim of this game. And that he easily could have both saved his wife, as well a,s killed Jigsaw. Jeff simply go with: option A) Save the Victim or B) Don't bother and let them die. Seriously, most of those traps were aimed to increasing suffering the longer Jeff took, which makes it worse to the point even John sounds bad via the tape for what'll happen to Tim in the Rack Trap. If the literally Jigsaw killer is taking spoken pity there, it's a really f*cked up trap! I'll give Jeff the fact he couldn't have known the collar would kill his wife if Jigsaw, but I'm sure he saw the collar and should have just beaten up John and/or Amanda to remove the collar rather than just kill John there. This is to ensure the collar can't zap his wife to death or anything! I get that I'd advocating for abuse of an elderly cancer patient and/or a woman but considering they are both serial killers that actually seems reasonable.

People expected him to come back as the movies were being released, by the time 7 came around itvwasn't much of a surprise! It made total sense back then because of the surgical procedures and Jill's video tape delivery to the hospital were all clues. So he was expected to be in 3D.

i think i ruined that number 1. not because i read or knew anything about it...i watched it on my computer and was on photoshop. So john was standing up when i was looking away. I looked back and he was stood up and i was like..wait, i took my eyes off for 2 seconds and the dead dude is alive, wtf did i just miss!! Had i watched the scene properly, think i would've had a better whoa moment Edit- also you said Gordon had no family....what happened to them? do we know what happened after 1 with Gordon and his family? i would've thought she would've stayed with him unless after Saw 1 Jigsaw kidnapped him and brainwashed him or something and the wife thought he was dead. Why couldnt he see his family again?

#6 Glass coffin. I don’t think it was safe, Hoffman did the trap and he wanted Strome dead. So if Strome did enter the box Hoffman would have him in a coffin to do whatever he wanted to do to him. I know you guys mentioned this but the earlier trap with the water box (which weren’t supposed to be beatable) kinda support the theory imo. Glass coffin was a lose-lose for Strome.

Doctor Gordon being an apprentice come saw 3D was so obvious and NOT even w twist, especially after the intro of him crawling out. What other point would there have been to bring him back besides him being an apprentice?
