You guys should do top 10 most EVIL saw characters

“Delete all of Bobby’s scenes and it becomes a better movie”… I feel the same way about Logan tbf - nothing against Matt Passmore of course. Take away the Logan character then the film becomes much more plausible and sensical.

I’m all for the “In Defense of Jeff” video! I actually really like Jeff’s character and I feel like the actor deserves more credit for his role. Angus Macfadyen is a tremendous actor and he does a fantastic job humanizing Jeff as a character. Saw III is one of my favorites specifically because of his performance. I definitely want to see someone defend him for once.

Another back-story film: what changes Jill to make her fulfil John's last requests? What changed in her? Um, perhaps losing her only unborn child? Which led to the end of her marriage by the change in her husband? I think there is a story in there which can explain this, just as Hoffman's story unfolded.

Pamela Jenkins TECHNICALLY doesn't come out of nowhere. She does make a cameo in "Saw V" at the press conference where they announce Jigsaw's death, and the theatrical cut of the movie actually gives her a line or two. For some reason, her dialogue was cut from the unrated version, which is the version that is most widely available. She also gets name-dropped in the video game, but I know that's not canon.

I am a stan of Jill Tuck 'til the end. Second worst character is too wrong, but the saw 3d writing is still bad😭

Jill??? Really. I don’t think Jill should be on the list. Definitely agree with everyone else on the list.

The next you should do is a Top 10 Mediocre characters. Which includes Jeff. My least favorite character is Anna from Jigsaw. She not only killed her baby, but she caused her husband to commit suicide for what he thought he did. Hell has a special place for her for sure.

I disagree with Jill at 2. However, I can see your argument. I understand where they were trying to go with her character but you are right about her M.O. not being there. It was as if she suddenly understood John's perspective after losing their child to Cecil, who I think deserves to be on this list instead. Also, Xavier is an easy one that should have been added to this list and personally would have been my #1 worst character due to how insufferable he was through the entirety of Saw II. If you saw the term meathead in the dictionary, a picture of him would pop up. I agree with putting Gibson on this list. I've seen reactions to Saw VI and Saw 3D but never watched them in their entirety as I watched Saw- Saw V, the two spin-offs, and Saw X. Never felt the need to visit them as I heard they were pretty bad. However, seeing Gibson's character and the egregious acting definitely justifies his character being on this list. I think Allison Gordon could be one of the worst characters based on her poor decision making in the original Saw film. Also, as much fun as it was to see Jeff kill John at the end of Saw III, he is in my top 10 worst due to the cheesy acting and bone-headed thinking displayed throughout the film.

jill did not deserve the 2nd worst character… i will absolutely defend her until i die. i love her and i think she should’ve been in it more. saw 3D was just… so bad and if the writing was better i think she would be more of a fan favorite.

I am the only one who likes Jill? I completely agree with all the characters of the list exept her, it should have been Jeff instead of Jill (imo). Only person I would add to the list would have to be Anna ( i think that’s her name. The neighbor who killed her baby, put the blame on her husband which resulted in his suicide.)

You should do SAW’S 10 most forgettable characters

While the performances were definitely bad for some of these characters, I think it came down much more to the writing for a lot of them. Especially in the top half, the performances are at least serviceable to where they’re not actively painful to watch, but you instantly forget about them the second they die or disappear. Bobby especially was such a shame to see turn out so boring, because the idea of someone who pretended to be a Jigsaw survivor actually being tested (by someone who pretended to be Jigsaw, no less) is so fascinating to me. My Saw hot take will forever be that I like Jill Tuck, though. I think her progression from innocent and uninvolved to in the periphery but still disapproving to acting outside John’s circle of disciples to carry out his true will was super interesting, and I was sad to see her go (as well as go through a complete character assassination) in Saw 3D.

Just put Spiral on this list... like the whole film & everyone in it! 😂

Cecilia has no redeeming qualities. SPOILER:::::::::: She kills the most innocent trap victim and puts a child in a trap just to spite John and his "mantra".

I chalk Jeff's slowness to being drugged and maybe being concussed when he escapes the box at the start of his trial. Adds some realism in my eyes as to why he's a bit slow 😅

I think a lot of people in the comments are misunderstanding ‘worst’ characters to mean most evil, rather most than poorly written/acted. Jill definitely deserves to be up there in this list, she was the first name I thought of when I read the title of the video! Justice for Jeff! I think he would rank quite highly in a list of underrated Saw characters

The fact that Pamela Jenkins is the only person on this list is still alive is so fitting for the saw series. (BTW, she shows up in a scene in Saw V)

i agree that jill tuck isn’t a very well written character, but her becoming an apprentice does have somewhat of an explanation. she was introduced to amanda, who she thought was a lost cause, evidently cured. i understand missing that bc saw does jump around, and her transformation could’ve been shown more but she was shown ”proof” of john’s methods.

I have not done this in a long time... My thoughts! 10 - Detective Halloran - Must agree but 10 is right right spot as sadly, The Script was what was wrong... "Show don't Tell"... No we are TOLD how Bad Halloran is... We see what a shit Hoffman is... That's why Halloran fails! 9 - Charles (The Herald Guy) - Yeah, an Investigative Journalist who did SO LITTLE Investigating when in this trap... That you wonder how he got that damn job! 100% the biggest douche of the lot and that's saying something as they were all HORRID! I remember when I first saw this movie and I WAS LAUGHING WHEN HE DIED as I hated him that much! 8 - Cale (Bobby's BFF) - WHO???? 7 - Parker Sears (Saw X) - OK! No judgement here, I will take your word as I have still not seen it yet... 6 - Pamela Jenkins - I feel she suffers from the script, Not well fleshed out... So I had very little sympathy for her! 5 - Dina (Saw 3D) - Reminds me too much of far too many women I do know... I think with Jill they didnt do anything to explain that change in her personality. How she suddenly became on board. Unless they are gonna show this by having it explained in future films after saw x. Which could easily be done with a character like the dr explaining how he got in board. Amanda couldn't do that bc shes too insane. I think there is still some kinda love there for john but thats not enough for the change. Unless they explain some kinda anger at the world for what it made her husband become. Like after saw x. Realizing she was alone in her efforts. Etc. The chracter overall tho wasnt ever as likable as many others in the film.

Here is a counter theory. Jill was against it because she thought it might in some way incriminate her but over time she realized the cops were useless and hoffman was a threat to her survival. John gave her the trap as a chance to test hoffman on her own to see if she could join their ranks. She also gave gordon the tape so he could intervene if something went wrong. In the end she failed the test because she didn't actually give hoffman a chance to save himself which was one of the rules john always insisted on. She wanted to kill hoffman and that is what doomed her in the end. He returned the favor and killed her. Once he did that it was the final go ahead for gordon to take the lead role in carrying on john's legacy. Jill had she just tried to avoid incriminating herself by staying away might have lived but by trying to eliminate hoffman she only ended up dooming herself.

eric matthews should’ve been on this list. he literally ruined amanda’s entire life, he was the reason she became a drug addict which led to her being targeted by john. he is the reason all that happened to her. also he’s a shit dad. i also don’t think dina deserved to be on the list, especially as high as she is. maybe it’s bc she’s poorly written or poorly acted, which ok. but she really didn’t do anything THAT bad? she was just two timing some guys. lawrence cheated on his wife which is worse 🤷‍♀️

Jeff's bad reputation is unjustified. Dr. Gordon doesn't get shit on for not doing anything for literal hours, but when Jeff is a little hesitant about things then everybody gets pissed off for some reason.

Top 10 most innocent/least guilty victims

Do we think the reason that so much of Saw 3D being so poorly written has anything to do with the fact that they last minute stripped scripts for what was supposed to be a 2-film finale and jammed everything into one? I kind of liken it to what they did to Freddy vs. Jason. The original script for that called for a 2.5 hour movie that was to have been an epic showdown, and when they did rewrites and cut a full hour out of it, we were left with shitty characters, horrible dialogue, exposition that was just jammed in wherever they could fit it.

I am absolutely team Jeff. His character is well thought out completely relatable for me having also lost my son to murder. Anyone who complains about how slow he reacts to save these people have obviously never been in his shoes. Frankly, he was nicer than I would have been. I would have happily watched them all die and wouldn't have helped any of them. Why should he? All of those people screwed over his little boy. Lady who saw the whole thing and refused to come forward? Why should he hurt himself to save her when she's one of the reasons his son's killer got off? Judge who sided with the killer? He deserves to drown in rotten pig juice. Why should Jeff burn his kid's stuff to save someone who let his son's killer go? And don't even get me started on the last guy. He was driving drunk at 10am, hit a little boy, and KEPT GOING. Who cares what he's doing now? Who cares how "bad he felt"? He chose to get behind the wheel drunk. He chose to try and run after killing a child. Take a bullet for him? Screw that! The current situation he's in is better than anything I could build.

In my opinion the only horror 3D movie that would of ever worked has never gotten a 3D film. The Ring!!! Imagine Samara coming out of your TV forreal

I liked the list until top 3 because all these characters I liked. Bobby wasn’t a good guy but he tried to make things right and cared for his friends. Jill is the most disliked in my opinion but I still thought she was a reasonable person. Gibson I thought Was the best detective in Saw and did the right thing for he kind of saw through Hoffman and almost stopped his career before any of his events happened

The guy that plays Cale plays Daniel in Wrong Turn 4. His death in that is one of the best of that franchise so if you don't like his death in Saw 3D maybe you'll like that.
