Hey Nick, I am a 70-year old geezer from Kennewick in Washington State. I have been doing woodworking as a hobby for around 30 years or so, and still have all my fingers. Make anything and everything as long as it doesn't entail using a lathe for turnings (one of the few shop tools I don't have). I make or repair projects for friends and family mostly. Everything from cutting boards to dressers, bookcases, curio cabinets, hope chest, to complete bedroom sets, dining tables, benches, entertainment centers, etc., etc., etc. Very much enjoy watching KZfaq channels such as yours for new ideas and techniques. Keep them coming.

39 year old from Los Angeles. I used to have a woodshop in my garage, but had to sell off everything and hang up my apron when my son was born. We needed the space and I needed to get a real job to support my family. I'm waiting for the day that I get to have a shop again so I can pick it back up, and until then I'm obsessing over your work and trying to absorb all the inspiration I can.

I am 40 and a Joiner from Austria, the little Land most people only know from classical composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Johann Sebastian Strauß, Franz Schubert and some few other great people of the past and decades like Falco in the 80's as musician or Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 90's as actor... I allways loved wood, since I was a child. The smell of wood, when you worked with it, the look of wood and all the beautifull things can build of it. Videos of joinery are my weekly inspiration, because I am allways on the search to master my skills. And it is also relaxing to see other great joiners, who love the work with wood. I like your work very much, you are great. 👍☺

I think your learning nugget here is, you wing good design as well as you deliberately plan it. Outstanding execution. I also 'get the most wear' out of tee shirts, because liberal coatings of sawdust will keep them smelling shop-fresh longer. Since you asked: I'm a 53-year old amateur woodworker in Virginia who IS subscribed.

Just started woodworking about 7 months ago when I decided I was going to build a kitchen island that both color and trim matched an antique china cabinet I've had for a number of years. I absolutely love your videos. Just commented because you mentioned something early in the video about saying something in the comments. I'd say I still have about a month or so left to go on the Island, but I've learned a bunch and have no idea how much time I've spent between color tests for wood/stain/finish, designing the island(and relearning sketchup), figuring out how to match the trim (and milling and routing all of the trim). I am starting a class tomorrow on Japanese hand tools and joinery and can't wait to keep learning and building. Your designs are really beautiful and inspiring. You and Pedulla Studio make my favorite woodworking build content and can't wait to watch more as you make more! Keep up the amazing work. Your shop and builds are inspiring. Cheers.

I[m watching this video again cuz I just can't quit you! I'm a geezer professional woodworker and mostly retired general contractor from western Massachusetts (on the New York State border). I enjoy the way you design on the fly, after working out a very general idea. You're not the kind of maker who obsesses about your sketchup model--rather, you just right in to working with wood! You seem to use the material you're working with to suggest the details of the piece--a nice Krenovian esthetic, even though your work is not especially derivative of his style. Also you have a nice whimsical sense of improv and an excellent sense of line and color. I also really admire your technical skills, honed--no doubt--by years of trial and error.

Dallas, Texas 53yo here. ok, so I have been binge watching your channel and have to say it is the most entertaining woodworking channel out there. I too have CDO ADDH so I can relate to the manic creativity aspect. I am as impressed by your skills and tools as I am by your humor and the video production. For only being 30, you seem to have a fairly deep grasp of fine woodworking that normally takes a lifetime to learn. I am becoming increasingly obsessed with high precision woodworking. Like all ADHD makers, I have 1,734 projects going at once! I have to build a historically believable, heirloom quality pirate treasure chest, a pentagonal pyramid giga-terrarium and my military war chest. I have been trying to execute the pirate chest for years and have yet to get it right. After watching a few of your vids I decided to model it up in Sketchup which has helped quite a bit. I am now a complete convert to 3-d modeling to set the design prior to the build. Thanks for giving me inspiration. It is not beyond possible that I commission something from you some day, maybe it's that damned chest! ha ha .....aaaand Robert's your mother's brother, there's my first comment on your channel! oh and the Psyche trance is tight, and lit and fire. share a link?

I started a woodworking shop 3 years ago while I was in my final year of my masters degree. I developed a passion for it when I was 14 while I worked as a laborer for a two man home building crew. I just loved watching a vacant dirt lot turn into a home, I was hooked even though all I did was cut 2x4 to length. I joined the army two years later and had completely forgot about my love of building for about 15 years. I get a lot from your content, I can tell it’s about much much more than building furniture to you and I can’t really relate to that.

I'm from Alberta Canada. I like woodworking but up until recently I never had a rental house with the space to work on anything all that big. Now I'm looking at the used tool market... Love your content.

Melbourne, Down Under. Hobby woodworker and house reno guy. I put you in the same basket as Bourbon Moth and Woby Design. Good ideas, good skill, easy flow of projects to follow and very entertaining. So I don’t really know why your subscriber amount is so low’ish. But I remember woby design took also ages to get it up to a few hundred thousand. So I guess just keep it up 💪
