Zina is not a mistake it’s a sin, a choice cheater make. And every choice has consequences. It breaks the trust between spouses.. There’s no justification for cheating. People needs to follow what's Sunnah says, not a random person's opinion.

Trust is a very fragile thing and if broken once, it’s nearly impossible to rebuild that same trust. So, to continue with that relationship and be suspicious of your spouse (husband or wife) is kind of a life of torture and suffering for eternity. So, just simply get a divorce and move on. No need to harm your spouse physically, mentally or in anyway. One more thing, our beloved Prophet S.A.W once said that ‘A true Mu’umin would never get stung by the same hole twice’.

Zina is not a mistake sir. It is a complete act of infidelity. And must be dealt with accordingly. "There is no power but God". What power of God is there if You are using it to justify deliberate adultery? Allah's power is to deal with the cheater spouse, NOT the cheated spouse. I'm terribly sorry but this 'bayan' might be somewhat unsound. Yes I do agree with you that if the cheater seeks Allah's forgiveness then may Allah forgive him/her and we also might try to forgive. And that too if the spouse has only committed minor cheating and not any major intercourse. But this talk about making a marriage work after intimate adulteration is illogical and imprecise. Apologies for speaking for innocent people who have been STABBED in the back by their respective spouses.

You said if the person is good and believes allah you should forgive him, but a good believer would never do that. Secondly, zina is not a thing that requires loss of consciousness, people committing the sin are fully aware while doing that. So cheating is chosen not accidental. 3rdly, what are the circumstances that led to him/her cheating, is it your fault in that, like you didn't provide them the attention they demanded. 4rth, if you have kids try to forgive them, if they promise not to do that, as kids raised with divorced parents get psychological problems at later stages of life. May allah protect us from cheating and getting cheated, ameen.

My thoughts are - if a person sincerely fears Allah then they will never take this step- man or woman it doesn’t matter. In my humble opinion, I’ve seen way too many Muslim men use the words “she basically put it on a plate and became weak” as an excuse - sin is a sin and this is one of the worst where marriages and families are broken - quite simply if you’re not happy with your spouse divorce and move on - don’t ruin other people’s lives for the sake of pleasure. Even talking about another female with your spouse and how pretty they are or making remarks on their body is the same sin for me and making comparisons - simply NO.

Also I want to add one more point here; Cheating happens when a partner is unhappy. So find out the root cauee and fix it. In the case of a man, if he wants more + halaal, clear the root ..if shariaa permits. Islam gave us the solution already. But it's the culture that makes us stick one-on-one

Just wanna say one thing They're different ways people interpret love, true love meas you'll never do anything to hurt the one you have feelings for and you do anything too make that person happy cause when that person smiles it makes you smile and there's nothing and no one that will ever come in between you even if there's an argument you always try too simpatise and agree That person is your light and youl never hurt them. But if you're in a relationship and they say they love you and for some reason they cheat then that wasn't love cause some where at that point in time he or she wanted too be with that person and not you the wife or husband you were non existent to them in that moment it's only when you catch on to them then they try too apologize when the damages are already done playing with emotions is no game and there were no true love in the relationship and it's best too leave cause staying will only remind you of what they did and if you are being played your emotions for him or her will never be the same and now you'll be living in paranoia afraid of what is going on behind your back and now you'll constantly be living in argument best thing is too move on Allah knows best it can be emotionally draining

Cheating is not a mistake, it's a choice, they never thought they'd be caught if they knew they wouldn't have done it. Divorce immediately because there's no love and trust anymore. If you forgive and take them back as he said there's a chance they hide better the next time they do and also you won't trust them and your might raise it everytime a minor issue occurs. So just leave them and move on to the next person who loves you enough not to cheat on you

At the end of day, your spouse is not your slave; she is the slave of Allah (swt). She is hear to serve and Worship Allah Azawajal alone. Through marriage, she is subservient to you. That doesn't mean you own her or any other human being. So the favored among us are those with patience in difficult times. Forgiveness is better than condemning someone you say you love. And if the person doesn't want to improve their faults, peacefully and kindly let them go their way. But the world is not going to stop spinning nor is the sun going to stop shining because you have been cheated. Life goes on, learn to carry on, and seek better for and from yourself

A husband isn’t a slave either to forgive everything she does. There’s a reason why the cheaters are stoned to death under sharia. The emotional trauma of getting cheated on is just unimaginable. Divorce and move on that’s the best one can do for himself.

And what happens when one ant is killed or hurt; What does the colony do?... They keep progressing towards the goal and carry on. They persevere It's not a life threatening event unless you over value the worth of you or your companion. Yes we all have dignity, but in the grand scheme of community life, the number 1 is insignificant; unless addressing our Creator. Brother if you were done an injustice and you woke up to another day, that's a sign from Rabbul Alamin in itself. So then would you continue to burden yourself the past or progress forward accordingly. If forgiving is suitable than nothing is wrong with that

@@champbrady633 egoistical? Bro that’s bare minimum respect you gotta have for yourself. There are sins that can be forgiven. We are all sinners. We all sin. But to cheat on your spouse is something you very much choose it for yourself. Like I said if cheating is anywhere near to ok. Allah and his prophet would’ve advised us on how to build a relationship after your spouse cheated on you. But no… adultery is way dangerous. If you’re married you should be stoned to death. And if you’re not married 100 lashes it is. But now not many country follow sharia. So the best you can do for yourself is to divorce and move on. Cheaters don’t deserve a second chance. And moving along after getting cheated on is not as easy as your make it out to be. It’s a emotional trauma which will live with you for the rest of your life unless you let the person go.

@@ThomasShelby-bt7mn I agree with majority of what you said my brother. And it is definitely wrong. But the Qu'ran does not prescribe death for that offence. That is extreme; and no religion has room for extremist. Confined to house is severest punishment. And at that time in history public lashings were acceptable. The Qu'ran also says it's better for you to forgive if you only knew: in reference to The Mercy Allah Azawajal (reserved for the Day of Qiyamah) will provide to the one who was able to forgive and show mercy to others. I find it better to forgive and focus on the only true purpose of life to begin with: Pleasing Allah Azawajal. I place that above seeking justice for myself. Of-course that's not wajib; it's just me striving to be the best slave I can be. Divorce is certainly permissable in such cases

@@champbrady633 my brother, you’re taking it way out of context. Following your religion doesn’t make you an extremist. Islam is a way of life. It shows us how you should live. It advises us about every day to day activities and the qualities you should inherit to conduct a healthy life. And Quran is for the whole ummah of all time after prophet Muhammad (pbuh) not just for the people of that time. If Quran prescribes lashes then public lashes is the punishment for it (Quran 24:2) not you not the sheikh can change it. And if a sahih hadeeths which is accepted by the scholars without any difference of opinions states it’s the stone to death for someone who commit Zina while being married (sahih Muslim 4206, 4196), you can’t advise me otherwise. Indeed Quran talks about forgiveness but that’s in general. Not specifically for Zina. Matter of fact islam prescribes extreme punishment for Zina. But like I said you might be living in a country which doesn’t follow sharia. So the least you can do out of respect to yourself is to divorce him or her and move on. I said it before and I’ll say it again cheaters don’t deserve a second chance. Move on and seek refuge from allah and Allah (swt) will bless you with a faithful and a better spouse.

Sorry but this is not good advice. Cheating is cheating and is NOT a mistake. If it become physical it takes alot of steps to get there and that's why it's not a "mistake" Also you need to be very careful who your partner talks to because talking can also be cheating.

I would not call such a thing a mistake. Mistakes happen when you are not fully conscious of what you are doing or unaware of what you are doing is wrong. When doing something like this, the person must feel a lot of dissonance in their mind and it is huge step, a clear choice to ignore that dissonance and commit such a filthy act. But you are right about the fact that, we should think about damage that the divorce could cause and think of solutions but please don't call it just a mistake particularly for a righteous person because she will have taken even a bigger step to make that choice

No husband can live with the trauma and regret when his wife cheats. It's a no brainer to divorce her. The best treatment she deserves is to ignore her, be silent and don't ever look at her again once she becomes a non mahram again. It's the very best of respect I can give her without hurting her feelings with words.

The goal is to repent and do our very best not to do it again and take all the necessary precautions to stay away from that sin. “A real Muslim doesn’t commit zina in the first place.” By saying this you are calling people who commit zina hypocrites/kafirs which is a huge accusation.

When a woman says give me space, time, or this act, it means it's too late and she's already gone, It's better to walkway than to take the wound for life, As our culture in rural India, a Muslim girl/woman will not have the access to other men in first place mostly, Her world would be her parents and husband after marrying, After all this if she decides to cheat, it's a fact that she doesn't respect you, and her answer is pretty clear by her actions, there is no point of staying and keeping the wound for life Here, men cheats and women tolerates, I condemn and doesn't support cheating of any gender with his loved one.

A sahabi came to prophet, saying that he committed zina and asked to punish by throwing stone, prophet was alone and told him to ask forgiveness from Allah. Later he still feel guilty again he told prophet, this time other sahaba was around. The prophet asked sahaba to carry on punishment.

Hmmmm...... I dont agree. Trust is not an easy thing at all to regain once broken. I couldnt see myself staying with my husband if he cheated, not only would it tear my world apart but trusting him again just wont be an option and it will always be at the back of my mind what he did and I will always think that he may do it again.. that is no longer a healthy marriage, mentally that can have huge side affects on someones life and can rub off onto your children.. So its Mufti Menk. The guy has no credibility. If I caught me wife (May Allah Forbid and protect us from sins) then I wouldnt give a chance tbh. I would end it. The person might leave that sin later on in life but thats the error which would cause lack of trust between spouses thus forth. Its not a mistake because mistakes happen however zina has multiple stages. Its a stage to stage process. First a person might have looked at another non-mahram, then they would have exchanged numbers, then they would have went out behind other spouse's back, then the spouse might have gone out of city for work and then the cheating one would call the non mahram and then they hooked up so its not a mistake. Its a plan.

All these so called "men" in the comment section talking about how they would not forgive their wife if she does zina. Y'all don't understand the basics of islam. Families are the foundation of community. That is why iblis praises his pupils when they come to him with the news of making a husband and a wife fighting. He rewards them. All mufti is tryin to say here is try to save your marriage. Also he did not mention the gender. So those commenting below need to understand this applicable both on men and women & not just on women. Stop hving such small minds, cheating for both parties is wrong however one needs to consider other specifications before divorce.

Salam. All muslims should be able to guiding their 'lust' properly and correctly. If fail, unexpected things will happen such as 'zina'. Zina could be additive once happened. Better to avoid it before happening as proverb says 'prevention is better than cure'! May Allah give blessing and save us from hell.

@@samia6888 There are two types of rights in Islam Huqooqullah(Rights of Allah) and Huqooq ul Ibad (Rights of people) Zina is such a Sin which comes in Huqooq ul Ibad because it will make one to destroy ones(spouses) rights, Huqooq ul Ibad is only forgiven until when the person whose rights are destroyed forgives one who destroyed the rights so, you may repent to Allah for sin but how will you justify the suffering of your spouse because of this filthy act done by you, Everyone are not capable of taking that sufferings, Allah will not be unjust by forgiving Zina but he Judges it between one who did Zina and the spouse who suffer because of it Justly In Sha Allah. Take a advice sister don't feel so sorry for the one who sins(Zina) but feel sorry for the one who suffers because of it.

Say nothing base on man is allowed 4 wives. His sin belong to him to handle is destiny case. Stay in the marriage is more interesting and to build spiritual benefits for self by continue serving the husband but must embrace SOLAT and Al Quran( with reading it in the language of own understanding for non Arabic, word by word and no jumping of pages, upon complete, re read over and over ) as advisors as best friends in silence, while practicing obedience so as to guide inteligence to accept situations in helping the characters of sad and Dissapointment to see and practice truth humbly. This is to help the wife understand why ALLAHswt told the Our prophet Muhammadpbuh written in The Al Quran- Do not be sad over the happily wedded pair. It's the dirtiest sin for the dirtiest people. Any person who commits it most likely doesn't feel remorse when caught. And is only disappointed with themselves only for getting caught. There is a Hadith that mentions how the adulterers are recognised on Qiyamah by the stench of their private parts. If they fear Allah, never in a million years would they even go near it.
