Mate the symptoms (scorched trees) you saw in the background were from a bushfire 12 months earlier. The bloke just saved his house and stock. So this property is in the early stages of recovery from a very natural event. I think this highlights an important point. Not everything bad (like the trees) is related to chemicals or "traditional farming". I try to walk a careful rational line advising people to minimise chemical use and use them correctly when doing so. I also go out of my way to give voice to those practitioners who are focussed on restorative or organic practices, as they are in the minority and have great ideas. I will also continue to showcase good traditional farming enterprises on the channel. It's very interesting to me that the (sometimes vicious) flack I get is always when I do a non-organic/biodynamic story, I don't get crap from the traditional guys when I do the opposite as they are generally interested and trying to incorporate good practice wherever possible. I think we have to be careful to not jump to judgement or conclusions, but look for positive. That's the way change is generated. Thanks for the encouragement. I aim to keep the channel positive and useful. I hope you continue to find value.

You are striking a good balance of content coverage with storytelling in an entertaining fashion. I empathise with your experiences of personally negative feedback that this modern internet world has seemed to foster in regard to discussing agriculture, agroecology and ecoagronomy. I’ve continued to have plenty of that in regard to my career work in pioneering some fields in Natural Resource Management- so I know how you feel! We always connect our woven wire fences into our ground system. I've yet to get over 0.0kv on the ground jumper when doing so, but I still pound a ground rod or two in the wettest areas along that fence when doing so.

Once I get out away from my box and I mean like 40 odd meters and onwards - I use the bottom wire or even the middle wire on an old fence as the earth wire.
