32 years ago l was the maid of honor at my sister's wedding. She picked a bias cut, pink short sleeved dress for her bridesmaids. I was happy with my pale pink dress. I don't think the other bridesmaids were especially fond of their dresses, but they smiled for the photos, marched down the aisle and danced to the band's playing. It never occurred to anyone to whine about the dress she chose for them. In fact, one of them found her shoes were both for the same foot. She wore it anyway. She was not going to complain make a fuss even about that.

Then her sister has the satisfaction of having her second wedding and making it all about her. While baby sister never experiences that bridal feeling. I don't think there is an ending where she remembers her day as beautiful. She's just going to remember selfish friends, petty squabbles, fighting tooth and nail for things, being unsupported and overshadowed. That wedding designer would have got the sack the moment he agreed to take on the sister for just a month after her wedding. Get someone who's there for you.

The wedding coordinator was absolutely unfit for his job! Loved the dress she chose and the color too. Hope she will outshine her nasty sister big time.

@@mikmak2102 but then wedding is not for the whole month, right? They both have a day. By the time it is sister's wedding, she'd be back from honeymoon. Everyone needs to consider a lot of things when they marry. One whole year is a very long time to wait, especially when you are in your late twenties. It doesn't seem reasonable to me that the person marrying later should wait a year or not have a wedding of their dreams just because another sibling is marrying.

@@panktee62442 it's more of the fact that this girl is clearly trying to one-up her sister in everything. Generally you don't announce a wedding date until a large portion of the planning is complete, so for the sister to hear about the wedding date and schedule one for herself so closely is not only irresponsible to herself but it does not look good for the sister getting married after. She tried to take over her sister's dress appointment, which pretty nails it in that the younger sister is looking to get the attention on her.

When my best friend got married, she choose a color of yellow that was soft and happy and beautiful. I had never worn anything in that color let alone and long flowy evening dress. It became one of my favorite pieces in my closet and I wore it several times after. Be kind, be patient, be supportive, be considerate whether you are the bride, the maid of honor or bridesmaid! It's all about celebrating the union and a new beginning for the bridal couple.

I can't even put into words how furious I would be. Everyone is supposed to be focused and her and what she wants, if I was the bride I would tell them to either wear what I want them to or they don't have to come to the wedding at all.

I’m gonna be honest. When we went to pick out dresses, I was really wanting to do short so my girls could wear them again. Then we saw how much better long dresses would be so we went with that because they went with our theme better and ALL my girls looked great (I had several different body types....). my bridesmaids were really respectful about the length of the dress even tho my heavier girl (which I am heavy too) looked better with a longer gown. BUT she was NEVER disrespectful to me like these girls were to this bride.

I had this problem with my wifes friends and I had lost my temper with them making them go quiet afterwards which made me happy. My wife never knew cause she was in the back. My wife was happy still ❤

I can't believe they are like that to their own sister! One just does not care at all about the brides opinion, as the freaking maid of honor. The other planning a wedding 30 days after her, even if she is married already? And using her sisters appointment to search for her dress? What are those? Definitely not sisters! This would never ever happen in my family!

Fun fact: sometimes you need to test something before you can say yes of no. This bride wanted to try short dresses on her brides, and she realized they didn’t look good. These bridesmaids were far too rude about stating their opinion when she had not tried anything on them yet.

I would have had to drop the entire wedding party and just had a small wedding without them. They were so disrespectful the whole time. It seems they never had any intention of listening to the bride. The maid of dishonor even had the nerve to say that it was only the bride's wedding to" some extent". Who needs enemies when you have friends and family like that. 😤

My cousins got married thirty days apart. They are sisters. The oldest got married and then a month later the younger one got married. We thought it would be messy and awful, but we were able to make each bride feel uniquely special and it worked out well in the end.

That's why there were no options available for my girls when I got married. My maid of honour and 2 bridesmaids. Here's your dresses. Full stop. Thankfully they all loved it... I know because they were them on different occasions even after the wedding. 😉
