Scanmatik2 Pro ( SM2 PRO ) - HW or SW Failure ? Let`s repair

Original Scanmatik2 Pro - Connected to usb and device recognized at all, led turn green without power supply.
Mesurements done, replaced ADUMs, Replace STM from a clone device.
INFO : I think SM2 Pro died after i finished writing the ECU and started the car without unplug the OBD2. Even if was voltage fluctuation the device should not die.
What do you think ?
I don`t blame the SM company they even ofered to repair for the right price.
Hope this video is usefull for somebody.

Yes, it was released on 26 March the version 21.21.

Did i got it right: you run the clone on the same driver software from scanmatik than the original? Background of my question: just for j2534 diagnostics i bought a sm2 pro clone in version 2.21.22, but the delivered DVD was unreadable. That's why i'm searching for a device driver. Can i use the original scanmatik setup 2.21.22? Many thanks in advance. Btw: I'm totally impressed by your light handed SMD soldering - respect man, that's a pleasure to watch 😊!

Hi, yes you got it right, if your version is 21.22 will work only with original drivers from 21.22 in next version will erase blacklisted sn of devices and you will get an empty mcu. Thanks

Вот у меня точно так же. И производитель сказал только отправлять им для замены процессора. Хотя там явно нужно просто прошить. Есть даже специальные выводы на плате. Подключается J-Link и прошивайте безопасно. Но нет производитель хочет заработать и тут. Но не у всех же есть такая возможность в отправки туда обратно прибора из за слетевшей прошивки. А жаль. Надо тоже снять подобный ролик пусть производителю сканматика станет стыдно и неудобно что его продукт так просто ломается.

Hello, it will be hard to make them change policy, i have told them i changed MCU with a china MCU and device works, they also not sell only MCU with flash inside.

@@UnixCoDElectronics Это обусловленно только тем что удаленно производитель не может проверить оригинал ли он будет ремонтировать или копию китайскую. Если он продаст прошитый процессор то злоумышленники могут этим воспользоваться и припаять его в китайскую реплику. А это убытки для производителя. Было бы не плохо как-то подтверждать его оригинальность удаленно чтобы можно было отремонтировать удаленно.

Hi, i don`t have have it, for that reason i have replaced the entire MCU because i don`t have with what to reflash the old one.

Well, thank you dear friend, I found it on the Internet and would download the device. After downloading the firmware, the device did not start, I think that this firmware is not original and that’s why it won’t start.@@UnixCoDElectronics
