The Brothers Four perform "Scarlet Ribbons." This is a song about the magical connection between the singer and his daughter. Mike McCoy does a masterful job.

After all those years, now, Sept 14, 2022, listening to them still give me chill...these guys are institutional, out of this world, beyond excellent...I'm 82 now, still love them as when I was younger. God bless you, Brother Four. !

I came to U.S from Cuba in 1962, I never heard of 'Folk Music' before, and then I heard The Brothers Four singing Greenfields......I discovered a new world of music!. There are many folksingers but The Brothers Four are the best and very special to me. 'Try to Remember', a touching rendition by The Brothers Four. Thank you, fellows. Lou.

BACAN: I'm glad you found The Brothers Four. Don't forget that the EVERLY BROTHERS are the ones who inspired them. The Vogues are very good, too. You're English is most excellent. Most Americans, today, can't write as well as you do. Enjoy the old songs and the best of the new songs. Listen to Josh Groban sing "The Prayer" with Celine Dion. You'll see what he looked like at 17, if you find that video on the web. God bless you, & I'm glad you left Cuba.

@carolwade30946 жыл бұрын
IRENEE RITER: We have so many great singers today, I don't know why you say all is "tuneless." You're listening to the wrong music. Have you bought Susan Boyd's CD's? Listen to Josh Groban or Scotty McCreery, or Sawyer Frederickson? Do you know who Carrie Underwood is? Listen to "I Told You So," by Randy Travis when he was young, before a stroke took his voice away. If you listen to junk stations, you'll hear junk music. January 24, 2018

In each of our lives such miracles can happen. I can attest to more than one in my life. Insignificant as they would seem to others, they made a difference by showing me FOR SURE powers beyond my comprehension do exist. Please pray for such miracles, needed so very much to free us from today's often evil social climate.

How beautiful a song can be... This song's lyrics so pure, so fascinating, so mysterious, but above everything, so beautiful. one of he most lovely, thought-provoking songs ever! I'm never tired of it! I peeked in to say goodnight, When I heard my child in prayer: "And for me some scarlet ribbons, Scarlet ribbons for my hair" All the stores were closed and shuttered, All the streets were dark and bare. In our town, no scarlet ribbons, Not one ribbon for her hair Through the night my heart was aching, Just before the dawn was breaking, I peeked in and on her bed, In gay profusion lying there, Lovely ribbons, scarlet ribbons, Scarlet ribbons for her hair If I live to be a hundred, I will never know from where, Came those lovely scarlet ribbons, Scarlet ribbons, for her hair!
