WandaVision Episode 8 might have been the best episode of the trippy MCU show yet! It delivered major revelation after major revelation as we took a trip through some of Wanda’s absolute unfunniest home videos! We got a major retcon that turned Wanda from just a science experiment gone wrong to a full on latent witch! Up until now, we were led to believe that Wanda got her abilities thanks to the Mind Stone in Loki’ Scepter, but now WandaVision suggests that Wanda had these powers the whole time and the Mind Stone just helped bring them to the surface.
We also see the origins of the Hex and get hit with another bombshell regarding Vision. Turns out, Wanda isn’t just “Weekend at Bernies”-ing the whole thing by carrying Vision’s corpse around and the Vision we’ve seen so far is actually just a projection that Wanda has made using her magic. This is an extremely powerful trick and it leads to Agatha Harkness revealing not only how Wanda is the Scarlet Witch, but also is a user of Chaos Magic. Now the Scarlet Witch reveal is important, but don’t forget about Chaos Magic! In the comics, it’s incredibly powerful and the long-term ramifications of seeing this in the MCU could be dire! Agatha , Strange and other magic users need spells and training , while wanda does not. She can warp and control the very fabric of reality at free will.

@Hadree Ammar That’s not true she can warp reality outright emotions play no part in it cause that’s what CHAOS MAGIC is. It’s a magic so powerful it allows one to warp the very fabric of reality with just will and thought alone.

@Hadree Ammar Nah she didn’t “unlock the true potential” of Chaos Magic her immense grief just finally caused her to use a portion of her true abilities. That’s all. Chaos Magic is a magic that allows you to warp reality outright and by will it is not tethered to emotion nor has it been stated as such in episode 8. Her creation of the hex was just her finally unlocking her immensely powerful magic after her finally snapping by emotional trauma.

Agatha isnt evil, she just doesn’t live by the code of humans and their civil life. She is a magic user. Thus she acts above humans. I believe Doctor Strange will help her contain it but Agatha will come back to help her harness it.

@@melissamikaelson9650 You have to understand that Tommy and Billy were conjured through Wanda’s chaos magic, meaning they’re just sentient illusions. Agatha won’t kill them because she knows if she does they could just be brought back by Wanda and or Wanda would possibly kill Agatha. Agatha sees Wanda has a danger and a savior, so maybe she is trying to harness the power for herself by manipulating Wanda for either the good of the world or for Agatha’s own benefit. I just think Agatha is neutral

I loved how episode 8 was basically a tribute to Wanda as a character. Chao's magic is basically just magic that gives you the ability to alter reality. Wanda is basically the new reality stone right?

@@mvpistakenbyme818 I know that I did read some of the comic's with her in it but right now because she doesn't have control I still rank her below Thor and Marvel. Remember Thor was the one who killed Thanos the first time Storm Breaker literally went threw the blast Thanos sent when he had all the infinity stones when Wanda could not even handle one stone. Captain Marvel took 3 headbuts from Thanos and it took the power stone for Thanos to get her off. (Thor and Marvel have shown to be able to move faster than the speed of light with Bifrost and her Alien powers something Wanda has yet to accomplish)( And both took beatings from Thanos something Wanda was not able to do.) .But once she does learn to control it she will probably be my top 1 considering how fucking overpowerd it is. So I do agree with you on the second half

It already mentioned in the Infinity War and Guardians that the power gem enhanced the others gems abilities a hundred fold meaning the space gem was being back up by five other stones. Also the blast thanos shot was hardly impressive compared to what he did when he was using only three stones with Tony. Also you referring her powers as “alien” when it’s literally CHAOS MAGIC shows just how little you pay attention. No offense of course.

I'd definitely rather have Agatha be an anti-hero who can stick around a while longer in the MCU, maybe even getting to interact with Doctor Strange and/or Baron Mordo, instead of being a villain who will be vanquished by the end of WandaVision

Wandas better in my opinion because she’s more powerful. There’s no need for them to get in a fist fight when Wanda had telekenis powers and can beat anyone up from any distance. Plus she has spontaneous creation and can alter reality. She’s definitely more powerful. Maybe she’s not physically stronger, but who cares

Physically stronger probably but no contest here!! As Wanda is probably on the same level as Phoenix Force!! In fact without Wanda Avengers would probably have been wiped out. Wanda can't control her powers when unwoken however and collateral damage is pretty much guaranteed. Wanda like Blink, & Gene Grey have killed friend & foe alike. I wouldn't want to be around any of them when s*** hits the fan. Captain Marvel is powerful but not on this level!! Thantos needed The Infinity Gauntlet to rid the universe of life. Wanda only had to speak three words lol.

I wanna see them fight. I think Wanda is more powerful but Dr. Strange knows more so I imagine they’d be pretty much stalemate equal. It would be super cool even if they just threaten each other and do the whole state down thing and then work together afterwards, that would be enough to satisfy me for sure!!

Wanda was said to be exceedingly more powerful than the Sorcerer Supreme... but people tend to forget that Strange fought Thanos with 4 infinity stones... Wanda fought Thanos twice first in IW and EG... i really cant wait to see how this plays out in MOM... experience and brains vs raw powers

@@i_o_r_i___xxx90 people also forget to mention that according to the marvel universe time, there's 2 years between wandavision and multiverse of madness, so wanda has all of this time to learn and practice from the darkhold which basically shows and will show everything she wants and needs to know about herself and her powers, specially cause she's the scarlet witch herself, so she and the book have kind of a special relationship, so consider wanda's knowledge problem completely solved. she might even be equal to strange now, if not above him, cause strange studies and practices eldritch magic which has a vast set of spells, rules, hand gestures and all (and is limited and very technical), so it takes lots of years to learn everything, whereas wanda's magic is limitless and lies on her intention and awareness that she can do something (which is exactly what the book is providing her), once she knows everything she can do, it only takes her intention to execute it, so it takes less time to learn all of it. shit is gonna go down if he wants to get in a fight with her now, he might hold it together for a while but well, not forever. (btw this is one of the reasons I don't want them to fight each other cause I like strange very much, but if they do end up fighting ima root for my girl cause she got my heart lol)

The colour of your magic is based on where it draws. So purple means dark magic. Dr strange goes in depth to your question

Here are where the colours come from: Blue: Witchcraft. (Used by Wiccan and other witches) Purple: Dark Dimension. (Used by Agatha, Dormammu) Orange: Eldritch Magic/Order Magic. (Used by Dr.Stange and other Sorcerers) Red: Chaos Magic. (Used by Wanda and Cthon) This is all we have seen so far. Oh and Green looks like Asgardian Magic (Loki and Enchantress both use green magic) Oh and Wiccan uses a bit of Chaos Magic too, but it's never red.

idk i say the mind unlocked her powers but increased them. since she was able to stop the bomb just on instinct. but after that we dont know if she got in another situation where she again use between it and going to the mind stone. she repressed that memories think it was a dude without realizing so had a semi-normal life after. but we she interacted with mind stone it increased its power to where she notice it happening and started learning to control it. then like you said that final trauma pushed her to the edge which maxed her level.

Good breakdown! I would prefer if they used Agatha as an anti-hero of the sorts... Even still knowing "it was Agatha all along" all she did was little acts of "mischief" to Wanda's World...I don't think the show set Agatha up as the "big bad" at least not well enough to convince me

Just the fact that wanda create a new vision... a whole full replica of vibranium and possibly create a whole new mind stone, since vision seem to have the exact abilities as before he was destroyed... and its fully vibranium because they were tracking vision inside the hex ... wanda ❤️

so mind stone didnt give power but rather unlocks a hidden (latent) potential of certain people. whatever happen to wanda also happen to pietro, which means pietro also had hidden power (quicksilver) all along. could this latent ability means a dormant x-gene that unlocks mutation thus creating mutant? wandavision might be a gate for mutantdom in mcu

I’m honestly living for WandaVision but I do want to know, if Wanda was born with her magic but just had it unlocked by the mind stone, what does or did that mean for Pietro. Was he born with inhuman speed but just had it unlocked by the mind stone? I know WandaVision is about Wanda and I know that Pietro is dead, but since they were twins I want to know if Pietro was born with his powers too.

@@minajmyles2687 I know that Wanda was confirmed to be born a witch when she hexed the bomb as a child, but I’m curious to know if Pietro was born with his powers. Although WandaVision is about introducing Wanda as a witch and her using chaos magic, but what if Pietro inhuman speed is a form of chaos magic since he did have the capability to break the sound barrier depending on how fast he ran.

I wonder if we could get the Phoneix 5 out of this. 🤔 Wanda would be critical to that story arc. Could also provide a means of bringing the X-Men back into the fold in dramatic fashion. @@sophiawilson8696 Your probably right as Fox has already ruined enough of that story arc. But given that there seems to be some legitimacy to Chaos Magic showing up now. Which could mean we could be getting something along the lines of Chthon's arc here? Which Wanda of course is directly connected to. Hope Marvel doesn't take too many liberties here. Because Wanda deserves better then this and they know it!! I'm already pissed how Blink was so misused. Given that is one of my favorite story arcs within XMen. As so many directions they could have gone with that. Bringing back Selene alone would have been worth the effort!! :/

Y’all need to educate yourself’s Strength & Power are different. Like the top hero’s with strength are Thor, Captain marvel, & hulk. And the most powerful are Dark Phoenix, Scarlet witch, dc strange. And the 2 strongest are Scarlet & Phoenix they are both omega level mutants. Thor & Carol etc don’t compare to Scarlets power. & the reason they don’t compare to her are Bc 1 she was touched bye a god when she was a baby the god of chaos magic Chton. & Chaos magic is probably the strongest in the whole MCU.

3:10 I feel bad correcting a KZfaqr but you are right they reckon Wanda being a mutant. Although I believe you forgot the part where Agatha insinuated that the reason why her and her brother didn't get blown up by the Stark Industries bomb that landed next to them, was because she's always had powers and actually stopped it from exploding. In other words the Mind Stone didn't activate her powers it only boosted it.
