I think it was Ryne Williams who got me started, but I am now buying SCHD. Owning a good dividend ETF allows me to sell off lots of my positions, and invest a bit more aggressively into a few high conviction stocks like Microsoft.

Most likely it was and because it’s in my maxed out ROTH, I’ll have to either sell positions or wait a few more weeks until more can be added. Love hearing from you Duke!

What are your thoughts guys on FTEC I think it’s performance is better than VOO most recently!

I’ve never dug into it, but 43% of the underlying is Apple & Microsoft, so it’ll go the way of those two. If you’re ok with that exposure, I’d say go for it but be prepared for it to obviously move with the “magnificent 7” would be my opinion. Hope that helps!

That’s totally up to you, but I see no issue with having both.

What account do you think is best for holding SCHD in? Roth IRA, 401k brokerage or roth 401k. I currently have it in my 401k brokerage, and i have my voo in my roth ira and my vigax in my roth 401k? Ideally, I'd like it all in a roth ira or a roth 401k, but I wanna keep some money safe from any potential lawsuits, not that im expecting any 😅... so I figured id at least keep my schd in my 401k brokerage account but also annoyed beause id have to pay taxes on the dividends. 🤔

Personally I think that any tax advantaged account is perfect because there’s no ability to tax loss harvest in a retirement account. ROTH would be the best because you’ll never pay taxes on any of the capital gains ever again. Appreciate the view and the comment.🙏
