We finally got our hands on a DW Chamelon in Hexon 1.6. I was very curious about the performance and feel between the two fabric types. To my surprise they actually are pretty different. The Hexon 1.0 is much "softer" to the touch, and allows more sag.
In this video we perform some sag testing, and ask a few individuals on their thoughts between the two fabrics.

Question: when you say - 'more sag' does that mean the fabric stretches more and you can mold it more to your body? OR do you mean that you sag down creating more banana shape and are less flat during the lay?

May I ask. Do you guys pay retail price or is Dutch giving you these? I’m thinking of buying my first hammock and $125 seems a bit.

I like the hammock videos. I have been using a Hennessy UltraLight Explorer hammock for backpacking trips the past two years. This one by Dutch looks like a real winner! Good video. PS- I like the cat!

I assume these are the standard width Chameleons? Curious if you've tried the wide version. I'm 6'2" and really can't decide if I should get the additional foot in width.

Really like your videos. Like it that you usually explain number of feet suggested between trees. The Chameleon looks great and love doing business with Dutch.

Question, have you gone over the 200 lbs limit on the 1.0 with gear and everything? I'm 180-185 lbs and I'd like to keep as much gear as I can in there with me (especially with the new "sidecar" option). Just wondering if I could safely push it another 20-25 lbs? Thanks

Being right at 240 myself I would like the 1.0 but don't feel comfortable with the weight limit listed for it. I am going 1.6 burnt orange with black winter cover.. That orange looked sic. Good info Thanks!

Is the 1.6 model that you tested the "Brilliant blue" or Moroccan blue"?

Thanks for the comparison video. I'm looking for a hammock and this 1.0 looks really awesome. next I'm going to watch your comparison between this and the warbonnet. Guessing your in Ohio since you went I hear you say you went down to Wayne. I'm in New Albany.
