The lunch at my school is decent or mid. It's also free, which is even better. The only thing is that the bananas are either overripe or underriped. And I can't eat apples or other fruits that you have to bite because I have braces.

My school serves breakfast, and one time the lunch ladies decided to test out the new chicken patties that would be served at lunch, and it turned out it was raw. I was in cross country at the time which was before school, so kids on the team would often get school breakfast, and the coach even yelled at kids to not eat the chicken. Later that day at lunch when they served it, it was actually cooked and it even tasted great.

Schools are considered second tier food markets, that's big reason the food is trash. One time back in middle school, 2010 or 11 one kid took a bunch of the pizza, balled it up, walked up to the lunch ladies and said, "I think this under cooked", and bounced it off the ground like a basket ball. Another time someone did the same thing and it all stuck to the wall.

The only time I ate school lunch was kindergarten - 3rd grade but it was actually good, they had decent chicken nuggets, decent pizza, and a weird french toast cube in a foam container. Then middle school I had been eating my own lunch for a while and I see the school lunch there is the most disgusting thing i've ever seen.

In my high school we had a school restaurant. It was heaven. It was like having a Golden Corral in a school. I went there instead of having a school lunch. On top of that on Thursday and Fridays you can order from the restaurant for take out to bring to the lunch room. My high school lunch was amazing.

As someone who goes to a private school, where they get restaurant foods for our lunch, I’m happy I don’t see people devouring this crap anymore, I used to go to public, but moved because, Y’know, people suck. The reason my new school does this is because we don’t have to eat crap, and no lines. And to just eat better food in general.

There was a time back in 2008-10 that in High School, in Canada mind you, that they used to sell big chicken nuggets, and while it had a lot of breading, it was still done in such a way that it didn't feel cheap (heck, it was actually lunch's heaven to have that), but due to health regulations at governmental levels, the "fat" side of things had to leave, and the overall quality of everything dipped... I can still remember the divine texture of it

As someone who had school lunches almost everyday since 7th grade, I can confirm that the quality became worse after it was made free. In 9th grade, every Friday my school served Domino’s in the cafeteria. But after that, it was the low quality stuff.

The school lunches at my middle school were actually depressing we got 2 chicken tenders and green beans that nobody would ever eat. It was so bad that people would be going around to other tables asking for there lunches because we would all be still hungry I blame Michelle Obama. At least the lunches at had at my high school improved. There were three floors one served nacos, one had pizza, and the top floor had sandwiches.

I’m so lucky that my school lunch always has at least one or two options that taste good every day. There are at least six lines, and the pizza one always has good food. The main one has chicken that always tastes good, and has different ones every day, but its usually dry except for the Thursday one. The school provides several condiments, including ranch which solves the dryness of the chicken and enhances the pizza. There are still definitely devious options like these “Mexican” chicken balls with neon yellow rice and soup that looks like sewage.

Yeah, my school has a option called a "pb&j basket" which consisted of an uncrustable, a pack of goldfish, some kind of fruit (those apple crisps are good), and a cheese stick. I would mostly get that unless there was crispitos(i think thats how you spell it). They were actually so good and are one of my favorite meals. Surprised that its actually good considering that i go to an american public school but they are. The only thing that was actually bad was the milk, the expiration date usually said it was gonna expire in like 3 days so i never got that. I used to in elementary school bc i didn't check the dates until i found out someone had gotten chunky milk. I was like "never again" but honestly aside from gross milk my school lunches were actually alright and even could be classified as good in elementary school.

dude the school lunch milk is like a day to a week from expiring one time i sipped one of the milk cartons it was nasty and it wasn't even at its expiration date and after that i never drank milk from school again also in 6th grade they forced us to get a side which they still do and a lot of the time i would get a fruit and after i pay for it i just threw it in the trash like everyone else. The little stuff they put on your tray the "healthy" food like idk what it was most of the time like a vegetable???? i have no idea. one time the lunch people put broccoli on my plate it just looked gross so i just poked it and just stared at it and that was it. for like 3 months i would buy two brownies and give it to someone at my table lol sorry for the long comment

My food my highschool served was pretty good a few years ago. It was cheap and they had good brands that everyone loved. The only issue I had with the food was when they received chocolate milk that went bad because it wasn’t refrigerated properly and I drank it [I was and still am very stupid when it comes to food] Recently, they got a new provider or something and everything’s been bad. They got rid of the good flavoured milk and replaced it with these shitty little cartons that don’t even have the syrup properly mix and everything is stupidly expensive and super dry and flavourless. Not as bad as the “food” they get at American Public schools, but still disappointing

I never ate lunch at school I'd end up just buying snacks from the vending machine instead bc school lunch is disgusting and I've always refused it (edit) plus peers around me seemed to be worried I wouldn't eat, I'd. Fight to the death insisting that this lunch is unacceptable food to eat plus if you didn't have any lunch money they'd make you a "cheese sandwich" NOT EVEN GRILLED just to slices of white bread and American cheese which isn't even real cheese but a cheese product. I remember my high school actually had some great food. Chicken sandwiches every day, some days were fries (curly or straight depending on the day). It's honestly one of the things that make me regret dropping out. I genuinely want to try and replicate whatever the recipe was. Also, my high school also had an auditorium in the cafeteria.

School lunches at my high school were hit and miss. The cafeteria food was alright, besides the fries. On the other hand, there was a little place in the cafeteria called "the hub" (no not *THAT* hub). The place had delicious smoothies and decent popcorn. I worked there during a period when I was in grade 10 (obviously volunteer). I remember learning how to make smoothies and popcorn. I really enjoyed the experience.

Although I didn't have school lunches I had something similar where on Wednesdays and Fridays the school would hand out hot lunches for a price, and they were actually good, on Fridays they served Little Ceasers Pizza and Wednesdays they served either, Chicken Nuggets and Fries, Pasta with Ceaser Salad, Hot Dogs with Chips and even Subway Sandwiches.

I've never tried school lunch. Because in my school, we don't have school lunch but instead we have a food stand, in which you can buy anything you want in a cheap price at anytime. From chocolate bars, to donuts, to pizzas to anything. And let me tell you, as that one kid who buys everyday from there, the food are good quality and appetizing too.

College food at my alumni CCU food option was way better than school food except for a few foods, mostly the hot dogs and steak and shrimp, but other than thatthat food was great. Also, horry County public schools, which is technically . Myrtle Beach is offering free lunch for everyone, but we still don't get free parking except for a few places.

My schools chocolate milk was always expired, and the only thing that tasted good was the waffle fries, also when I was in high school the lunch ladies yelled at us if we didn’t take a side of fruit-
