in my middle school, jewelleries arent allowed and i think i understand why but one time, it was this sport activities thing. my friend was wearing paper cat rings. the teacher called her, scold her infront of 50 people and humiliated her because of a literal paper on someones finger. the teacher was like “YOU THINK YOU HAVE STRAIGHT A’S WITH THAT RINGS???”

back at my school you could wear a hat, but only on fridays and you had to pay 25 cents to do it. the 25 cents thing can be excused because it wasn’t very expensive, and it all went to the local children’s hospital, but WHY only fridays? if we can wear them at all clearly there was no issue identifying us, so what was the issue on the other 4 days? couldn’t they just let us wear it all 5 days of the week, even if you have to give 25¢ to the children’s hospital, like am i crazy?

I got detention for not bringing my school ID. They addressed me by name when they noticed. The ID was implemented so people would know who you are.

Fun fact, my 11th grade history teacher would send you to the front office when you would debate her and win (yes, she was that fucking stupid with history). I remember debating her about WWII, a topic I've been reading about ever since the 3rd or 4th grade. Rather than being surprised, she instead threatened me with a trip to the front office. Being done with her shit, I snarkily asked "what was the name of Nazi Germany's secret police" and she went off and ordered me out of her class. Now the principal knew me, i was a well behaved student so when he saw me, he asked why i was there. I told him everything and well, that history teacher magically disappeared from that class a week later and was replaced by someone who i talked to about history everyday after class. To those curious about my fascination with war at a young age, i had a great grandfather who served in the Korean War. His war stories led to my fascination with the past conflicts but WWII stood out the most as it led to so many incredible technological advancements in how we fought wars. Apparently, Germany built the first jet plane in 1944(?) but couldn't mass produce it due to funding being short and their factories having been destroyed in Allied bombing raids

There was a convenience store near my school, and the vice principal would drive around the block for no reason just to make sure no students go to the store BEFORE school starts. Apparently once we leave the house or get off the bus we are now under control of the school and have to go straight into the school.

True story: last year me and my science teacher had major beef and couldn’t get along, she kept giving me bad grades for good work, she also wouldn’t grade my late assignments even though she graded everybody else’s, one day I went to the bathroom, I then walked back to my seat but got sent out for apparently walking to weirdly even though I was walking the same way I always did, I told her calmly that I was walking normally but took it the wrong way and thought I was back talking and I, (who had previously never been to the office) got sent down and had to wait in a small room with a desk facing the wall and had to wait for the day to end, I have never been happier to finish a school year than that one

I don't know why, but in my school all the guy teachers were pretty chill and grounded for some reason, they were favourites amongst students and pretty much relatable to kids. While all of our women teachers were power abusing psychos, that waited for the tiny bit of a mistake, to instantly humiliate you. It's not like in school they were treated differently, even our principle was a woman, so I don't think that's the case. Perhaps it's my location, it's very common in eastern europe to have a middle aged(or even a pensioner) angry Babka as your teacher in 99% of situations. The only nice lady in our school was our civic education teacher, she only became a teacher for gaining experience as a children psychologist for a short period of time, but even she did this job correctly than the most of the teachers with years of experience. She was the only person in school that treated my neurodivergent ass nicely. I always will miss her.

I was in a college program that they had at a High School and my girlfriend at the time was still in school but I had graduated and was in the program. But still at that same school. They separated us from the high schoolers and made this rule to where we weren't allowed to talk to them. Like they could literally just say hi and the teachers would go off on you. It was so stupid. I get that their trying to protect us adults from things that can happen with underage teens but my girlfriend was 18, and they wouldn't let me see her. Like wtf. Schools here are like literally stupid. You have your phone out? You're done. We also have the 'no going to the bathroom or getting water for the first or last 15 mins of class' thing, and it's lowkey stupid. One of the teachers will complain so hard about people needing to go to the bathroom, as if those people can control the contents of their bladder. Only a certain amount of people can be out of class at once, and one kid a class. So if someone is taking forever, but this kid is about to piss themself, oh well. Fire drills are questionable- everyone just goes out to line up on the football field as if the terf we have isn't flammable. With lockdowns they have us put cardboard crap over the door windows, as if that's gonna stop someone from coming in. And if you're outside during a lockdown drill or shelter in place, you're done, you can't even just run back to your class real quick. What's even worse is we have a daycare/pre-k program here including a child care education class, so we have all these small children and babies crying and confused when there's a drill. They fr have no idea.

Kinda a long comment, so buckle up. The last school I went to was all about the history of America, the principal was a massive history buff. So they'd be creaming in their pants about the amendments, all that shit about the revolutionary war. It's important, don't get me wrong, but you'd think that this wouldn't violate the first amendment like they did with my case. What happened was I made a joke. One of those "dark humor" ones, but still just a joke. They thought I was gonna shoot up the school or some stupid shit like that, so they expelled me. If you don't know what the 1st amendment is, it says that you have the right of way, and speech. Meaning you can whatever the fuck you want, whenever. So I did that, and I got expelled from the same school that was jizzing their pants about the amendments, only to turn right around, and violate them by expelling me over a joke. The worst part? I wasn't a "popular" kid, so there's some context. But I'll bet if one of the more popular kids ACTUALLY threatened to shoot up the school, everyone would laugh at his "funny joke," and no consequence for him. Fucked up.

In my school we are allowed to wear hoods or hats, but we are not allowed to run in the halls (reasonable), not allowed to drink or eat in class, and we have to put our phones in a box and we don’t even get to have them during recess even though we are allowed to go outside the boundaries of our school at recess! We also aren’t allowed to talk to people sitting at other tables during lunch and we aren’t allowed to decide where to sit at lunch either.
