The latvian referee at the beginning is one of the best in the world. I've never seen him make a bad call. Very accurate with his calls and he doesn't need 5 hours to set guys up

@@daverotten7228 ,если хорошенько вдуматься арм это бесполезный и очень травмоопасный спорт да зрелищный да популярный интересно смотреть,но в жизни навыки арма не думаю что пригодяться разве что какой нибудь груз поднят бицухой тогда да,даже пауэрлифтинг в жизни больше пригодиться

The Kazakh has the shoulder more forward and the arm close to the body, and in that position there is more strength and dominance. I don't know if it's legal to do that

The guy with blue-white t-shirt though he is not as strong, but keeps almost no distance between his body and arm, and immediately twist and press with his body. He is following this technique and winning. See at 2:10, 4:11 and 4:55.

Yes you can look at ref, alot of people who rely on speed do it. And as for the shoulders. Usually the ref pays more attention to the hands. So they will adjust the shoulder first and then the hands second. Then they say go last. That is why there is a small time for the competitor to move the shoulders a little bit ( but not alot, they won't allow it)

School boy is great. I would like to see him get into a battle. It seems as soon as his opponent gets an advantage he seems to give the pin. Maybe endurance training? The match on the thumbnail, schoolboy stopped him easily when his opponent thought he had the win. Maybe he is saving his strength or tendons but I’ve always noticed this and wondered if he stayed in some matches maybe he could pull the win out.

Competition is so stacked in the east, and this is only the youth tournament. Too bad there are virtually no good, under 21 arm wrestlers in the US. It's popularity here is limited to an older crowd.

@@martinbaranyi2129 look at 4:14 , at the start the khazak guy had his head almost above both their fist, almost at the center of the table, which gave him an advantage.., just a slight twist and its a flashpin using a press... at least the way taras ivakin flashpins somebody he starts at a neutral position with square shoulders, not this khazak guy though, he leans so heavily to the front at the start

@@pihermoso11 WAF rule states there must be a hand width between chin-hand & forearm-shoulder. from this camera angle indeed it looks like the chin is too close to the hand but i believe he starts with square shoulder just a bit too forward.
