@@FullOnRC dude advice please. My 1/10 bsd Baja prime V2 Steering always needs trimming when using the car. It starts of ok then ends up turning right or left on the straights until I play around with trimming on controler. It's only £120 RC RTR kit. Is this just what these are like or you reckon a new servo or saver is required? Thank you and cool channel 👍

@@CannondaleF700 Take the servo saver off and make sure the steering moves freely. It maybe struggling to Centre due to a weak servo. Most servo's have the strength to recenter themselves. Maybe it is just a cheap servo. It may also be a weak servo saver. I have the same issue on this car I just built. I used a Tamiya servo saver and it is pretty weak. The servo may actually be centering but flex in the servo saver makes it act like it is not. Hope that helps.

Yerhh I am happy with it. Just want to get the shocks sorted. Looking forward to taking in an open field and giving at a clean a run as possible. 😄

The thing I remember most about back then was that the stock "setup" worked ... as there weren't a lot of stock changes you could do to it like you can to the modern cars. Only one spot to mount on the shock towers for instance, with inside or outside for the bottom. I think I ran mine on the inside to give more travel as the tracks back then were really REALLY rough dirt tracks. Modern cars have so many mounting places for the shocks and the rods it's insane what options you have. That's also what I think ruined it for me back then as I had no idea what to do to make the newer Cougar 2000 (or CAT 2000) work as they gave them SO many ways to adjust them I couldn't get them to work at all for me. I guess I'm just a KISS kinda person: give me as few options as possible as that's all I can handle LOL. I also remember running the shocks with a bit of air inside the damper at the top as they didn't have bleed holes like modern ones do (or at least Associateds current ones). She's a real beaut ... drooling all over my monitor right now! Total nostalgia kick! Used to kick the old RC10's butts real good at the local tracks! Thanks for sharing Paul! Fhuz oot.

I remember the stock setup working too. Although I did change the oils. It was mad how little adjustment we had back then. I would love to see some iconic racing these days and see how they compare. A guy at my club races some vintage and he has them tuned so good. He pretty much dominates the vintage class. This beat the RC10's? Now I find that interesting, I thought the RC10 were in a league of their own. Just finished the newest car. Man what an absolute stunning piece of kit. I am honestly blow away by it. Have one issue though with the shock on the rear. Tune in tomorrow and let me know what you think.

I would advise running a servo saver, i run the xray one. The one time i ran without i broke the steering 😂 if you get the steering built spot on you’ll be fine without the ballraced one. And swapping out the ball and cups is my top tip, they pop off fun 😂
