What a team, what a performance. Every match, we played sublime only to get suckered by the Italians.This took me a while to make so please comment and like, cheers guys;D

Never qualified, but that team have gave me memories that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Hopefully this next generation of talent are the ones who will finally get us back.

I remember that Italy game at home and just being absolutely heart broken. Absolute joke of a decision to give a free kick.

I was right behind the goal. I saw it clear as day. No need for the replay, it was either going to be a Scotland fk or at best an Italy throw in. It sickened me. My little 11 year old heart shattered. But. Italy didn't look a gift horse in the mouth. And if it were the other way around neither would we. Either way, Shite descion by the ref.

Watching this brought back some great memories until that bloody free kick that should have been ours. Not the first time I’ve felt cheated with the Scotland national team tho and I doubt it will be the last. Mon the scots!

Graeme Gunn they were shite, bottle merchants. They could’ve beaten Georgia and that would’ve been us into the euros.

keith mitchell I enjoyed those wins. What Walter did was amazing, same with Big Eck but they knew Georgia away was the most important because we were unlikely to get a result in Italy. The needed to win and they lost 2-0 subsequently we lose to Italy and it was all in vein. I’m not celebrating failure!!!

keith mitchell played them off the park for a lot of the game. I do agree with him though, we fucked it in Georgia

A lot of comments here about the Italy free kick. Had it not been given we'd probably only have drawn anyway, which would have been a fair result but wouldn't have seen us through either!! The chance was there to go to Georgia and seal it with a game to play and we didn't turn up!! I remember the talk before the game was about how qualification was "in our hands" and the "pressure (against Georgia) was off", and I remember thinking at the time that we should have been treating it as a cup final, especially seeing as it had been 10 years since France '98. The lesson was clear but we never learned from it, so here we are 12 years later still lamenting it.

still can't understand why Di Natale's gol (regular) was invalidated and Ferguson's gol (offside) was convalidated. Stop crying about that episode.

@@kedgarb.8531 convalidated? is that a new language, Italy were 100% given a pass by fifa as they didnt want both france and Italy, both WC finalists not at the euros, would have been a {R disaster, thats why a man made a decision he NEVER would have normally

fegie goal was offside so justice was done it evened itself out. And I was crying with joy after that goal aswel.

yeh, w just seemed to have the rite blend, fletch was at his peakwinning CL with man u.were so good at closing down and starting play with him, that trio were outstanding together against big teams especially, I hope the like of mcginn, mctominay,etc can do same,mcgregor seems good, heard great reviews, but dont watch him that often tbh, hes been decent for scotland so far
