Scott Adams has drawn nearly 9,000 cartoons since starting "Dilbert" 30 years ago. His cynical take on white-collar office workspaces propelled him to widespread success and acclaim, while his ongoing commentary on politics and President Trump have kept him in national news.
In his newest book, Loserthink: How Untrained Brains Are Ruining America, Adams explores the epidemic of mental shortcuts that make us prone to believing in bad ideas. Adams explores how loserthink makes people stereotype all Trump supporters as racists, believe that gun control is equal to full confiscation and avoid personal reflection during a relationship’s end.
Through Loserthink, Adams provides the tools for spotting, avoiding and fighting against loserthink. In doing so, Adams argues that logic and rationality, not emotion, is the most important part of any argument, political or not.
Join us for a conversation with Scott Adams as he urges us to think deeper and more critically, breaking free from loserthink.

News = entertainment (Scott comment). When CNN was taken to court, think in LA, about their lying on Russiagate, their defense - that prevailed - was they provide entertainment, not news. Their watchers, they claim, understand that distinction.

You probably know this and are exaggerating a bit, but having only one news source isn't ideal. I'd recommend Shapiros show on the Daily Wire (right) and Tim Pool (left). Though Tim Pool is kind of like Scott in that he's left but spends a lot of his time calling out the insanity of the left. I find the combination of the three gets me a much better view of whats going on and I catch myself changing my opinion/perception of things by the time I've watched all three.

With all due respect, the posture and framing used when asking Scott about climate change reiterates how little she and many others in the crowd know about "climate change", along with where the question takes them... Fear. Scott encourages the use of critical thought on the topic, and positive thinking, which in the end still gets the tasteless comment "on that optimistic note". Maintaining the status quo, destroys critical thought.

Projecting GDP has a lot of variables. What if demographics change? Especially, if productive, competent people do not reproduce. Industry may decline, and reduce the negative effects of industry on the environment. If socialism takes over and removes profit incentive, that also reduces human effect on the environment. Or, lets say our society does remain innovating and we learn ways to preserve the environment? There are too many variable to use straight line projections.

Economists think well? Spoken like someone who majored in economics. After the 2008 Great Recession the New York Times lauded economics writer, Krugman, and someone named Eggertson, conceded that the vast majority of economic models completely ignore private debt. So they would have no concern about banks giving out mortgages to people the bank knew couldn’t afford them and selling them to Wall Street banks who then bundled them in with other mortgages and sold them to pension funds in Iceland, etc. Economists think well and yet they ignored private debt in modeling the economy?

Absolutely spot-on response. That was clearly a pre-COVID situation and room energy, and the anti-Trump feelings by late 2019 had moderated for the average guy, and people were just working hard, earning money, living peacefully and really not worried about things. Clearly, the desperate Dems then realized they had to pull out all the stops, including lying about and slandering Trump, and then of course accusing him of "botching" COVID, all of which was nothing but a crock of lying shit. America was sold down the river, and look at the mayhem and economic distress now.
