Secondly, I just have to be the paleonerd here I'm sorry, it'll bug me for the rest of the day otherwise: we do know with certainty that it was the meteorite (and the consequences of its impact) that wiped out most of the dinosaur, there's always debate on whether or not there may have been other factors concurring with the impact that were already making life harder for the dinos and there's always debate on how long exactly it took for the last remnants of non-avian dinosaur to die out after the impact. And of course there's always fringe theories or disproven and obsolete theories that resurface in popularity (though almost never within scientific circles) that pose a different reading on the end of the dinosaur era, but it's like proposing a new theory on gravity: there could be some truth to it but we can confidently say we got the gist of it right. Things attract each other, big cosmic rocks kills dinos.

Fun fact : in French, the Zubat line’s names contain the root Nosfera-. For example, Zubat is Nosferapti, composed of nosfera and petit meaning little. The two others are called Nosferalto (alto meaning tall in latin languages) and Nostenfer (enfer meaning hell in French)

Hedgy is too cute. I would never evolve it. (Not because its evolution is a bad design! It's not! Hedgy is just way too adorable!) Awesome musical reference as well - love The Proclaimers! The origin of Nesscade is awesome too - love that it's not just a Lapras variant. Togesaur is a really awesome concept as well. ALSO!! The history on Bram Stoker/Dracula made me so happy to see! Love when people bring in literary references! The designs for your spooky bats are also pretty great.

Yes. Love these new Pokémon additions and great to see your Halloween fakemon, it’s a great mascot. Also Mykel Ryan features Draculup in his Fyrun Frights video so for you to check it out. Also since you were unsure about the asteroid wiping out the dinosaurs, it is believed the asteroid only wiped out a big chunk of the dinosaurs and other existing life and that it caused extreme natural disasters that wiped out the animals that were left to bring a whopping 76% of life on Earth that was wiped out due to that extinction event. So the asteroid was the kickstarter but didn’t wipe out the entirety of the dinosaurs.

This series has some of my favorite pokemon I think I've ever seen, and it's definitely from a combo of the cool and goofy aspects of some of their designs/concepts. I love pokemon that are just Creatures and some of the most interesting have a lot going on in one way or another. hope we can keep seeing more little guys!! Great as usual, but its kinda silly to me that you talked about how Scotland is of little palaeontological importance, and making fossils for this region will be hard Before even touching the vast significance of Scotland and the Uk, this region is also based on Canada, which is probably the most significant location in the world for fossils. Eastern canada in the Maritimes has Precambrian fossils from before the Cambrian explosion, Northern canada in the islands has Carboniferous and Devonian fossils including Fishapods like Qiqiktania and Tiktaalik, the latter being the earlest known vertebrate to venture onto land, and potentially the ancestor of all tetrapods. And Western Canada has the Burgess Shale which is the greatest known Cambrian deposit in the world, with almost complete fossils of a massive variety of Cambrian organisms, including Anomalocaris who Anorith and Armaldo are based on. Eastern Canada is also a hotspot for mesozoic fossils like Dinosaurs, with the Dinosaur Park formation being quite famous. To Scotland The greater UK is the beating heart of Palaeontology, and in a way its birthplace (although both of those titles could also be given to the US depending on who you ask), and has fossils from the Mesozoic and earlier all along its sheer coasts. Mary Anning’s discoveries of marine fossils were used as reference for many early papers on Palaeontology, as well as for Duria Antiquior, one of the earliest pieces of proper Paleoart. Scotland specifically has fossils from all across the geologic timescale, especially of paleozoic life (stuff from before the dinosaurs). Arthropleura, the giant carboniferous millipede, has been found in Scotland which would make for an excellent fossil pokemon. Trace fossils are especially common in Scotland, which could make for a fun pokemon. Placoderms, running crocodiles, pterosaurs, arthropods, theres plenty to work with here. Fossil Grove is a forest of fossilized trees found near Glasgow, which is a fascinating site and one I’ve wanted to visit for years now. But Scotland is likely most significant for its carboniferous tetrapod fossils. Preemptive context first, Romer’s Gap is a large gap in fossil findings from the late devonian to the early-mid Carboniferous. This period in evolutionary history is believed to be around the time when the water-bound amphibians first transitioned into permanent terrestrial life. So Romer’s Gap has presented a problem for palaeontologists studying the evolution of Tetrapods for a very long time. Luckily, work in Scotland has begun to close the gap. Scotland is among the only places on earth known to bear fossils dated to within Romer’s Gap, with these ancient amphibians helping solve the mystery of how vertebrates first made the land their home. Point being, the Croneo region has nigh infinite potential for Fossil pokemon, for Canada and also for Scotland Also, most of my information came from Wikipedia as well as UK Fossils and the Geological Society of Glasgow. I also drew quite a bit from videos by PBS Eons and the Paleocast Gaming Channel (Btw Paleocast is an excellent set of channels, their gaming channel is a good introduction to paleontology tying it into video games to make it more palatable, but it is also extremely informative and done by genuine palaeontologists. As their name would suggest, they also have a Podcast called Paleocast, which is also utterly fascinating. Give both channels a sub they deserve it) If I made any mistakes I beg that some more knowledgeable would please correct me

I'm liking these Pokemon so far. But I feel like you're being too greedy with the moves and abilities you're giving your Pokemon; you're just giving them all the most OP moves and abilities; so many moves that are physical or special depending on which would do more damage, so many multi-type moves, and so many abilities that give another STAB, or lower more than one of the opponent's stats, with many of them not really making much sense with regards to the lore of the actual Pokemon. Idk about you, but I'd rather have the moves and abilities be unique and thematically interesting than be particularly good. Like, for the Flamoo line, I'd make their hidden ability Blacksmith give them a 50% chance to recreate used or lost held items that are made of metal or stone, such as the Type-boosting gems, the Hard Stone, etc, since they use their crafting skills to recreate them. Maybe they could be guaranteed to recover their item in a Sandstorm, like how Pokemon with Harvest are guaranteed to recover their berry in harsh sunlight, since sand contains trace amounts of rocks and metals, giving them easy access to the resources they need to recreate the item. It's ideas like this that get me excited, rather than those that would make them OP in battle, but have no real soul to them. But idk. That's just what I think. It's your region. Do what you want.
