This is a cool watercolour abstract seascape painted fairly quickly and freely. There is a bit of warmth in the painting but on the whole the colours are cool. I really like this painting from a distance the bit of light in the sea, for me, is the subject with the light in the sky drawing the eye towards it.
Happy painting everyone!

Rives BFK etching paper. Probably best to source this from your local store so you can look after the paper and not have it posted unless you are buying a large amount of paper and it will be looked after. I love this paper it is soft and lights are lifted easily from it.

Hi Scott, l really enjoyed this one, no surprise 🙂 lm really drawn to sea scapes, l guess because they are in front of me all day, every day. The light changes in front of your eyes, and l see that in your paintings 👍 hope you are all well, especially young Henry 😊 take care Alioban

@@ScottSwinson I tried it on a long thin sheet. Not bad. But I think I could have put my sky a bit lower taking into account the paper was long and then. Fun using salt and runs.

I am developing this style as well and have found that framing over the top of what I’ve painted often creates a better view than what is seen without a frame. You can move the frame around to create a different Relationships between the elements.

Hi Scott, I like the light in this painting. Very nice!! Good to see, that you can remove spots you don´t want, wiping them away. Could you make a tutorial where you show more of those tricks? Sometimes I have parts in my paintings I don't like and then I don't trust to change it. Maybe it is possible to wash the cooler away..but how?
