Scrap-tacular Rear Rack, for my 100cc Motorized Bike.

I install new front wheel hub races into my 3 spoke mag wheels. After that I install the wheel only to find out that I need to completely redo and build a custom rear rack . This new rack needs to hold my fuel tank, basket, and the new rear caliper brakes. Those are still to come.

Nice Work on the up right supports an rack , I used flat shower curtain rod from hotel for rear seat uprights 🚴‍♂💥☁☁☁

Just recently found your channel, pretty cool bro. Yeah that piece of aluminum looks very familiar. I don’t know where I’ve seen it but yeah I’ve seen that stuff before, hahahaha anyway doing a good job.

🤔 Too bad you couldn't find some cartridge bearings and thicker axle off a small motorcycle or moped wheel 🛵 that would press fit in. But looks like it'll last as long as before. The rack looks good for a free diy build. I broke down & bought a $25 rear rack off eb@y.. That I'm happy with for the price & some cheap $20 universal black canvas saddlebags. I need to water proof with silicone/odorless mineral spirits mix. Brakes:.....My frame has major clearance issues to try & add a rear disk brake. But I seen some $16 universal drum brakes online that look promising. One type looks crappy but the other one uses actual car brake drum material & is spring loaded with 2 S cams. It looks just like a mini version of the rear drum brake on my motorcycle. I wanted run both a rear drum brake & rear -rim brake. Then in front a 203mm disk along with front -rim brake. For 4 sets of brakes stopping me. The front disk & rear drum will be ran off a right hand dual pull lever & the F&R rim brakes off a left hand dual pull lever. So if I'm going 35-40mph I can stop quick if a car pulls out in front of me. I also use a daytime running head light like a motorcycle so cars can see me better. I really like the idea of 4 brakes stopping me...If I get a couple steel pieces I could make a quad pull brake lever. Similar to my original lever, just need 2 longer pieces to drill & tap to run 4 brake cables thru instead of 2. End of another long comment..... I should of had my front rim brakes on by now. So I'd at least have 3 sets of brakes stopping me. My $15 bicycle dynamo/generator headlight/tail light kit is holding up surprisingly well. The generator is bottle shaped & rolls on the side of your F or R tire. I've had it for over a year now & it holds up spinning at 35mph.

Yeah I want to make my own generators for My bike to run a bunch of stuff and to charge a larger battery that everything will off of. Either way the wheels came with sealed bearings but they ruined on me quick so I did this to save money and they hold up great so hopefully this will last time now that I seen how thick the new races are compared to the last ones but, never know right.

@@JMB676 I thought for only $15 the 6V 3watt dynamo kit would break after a couple months. So I regret not buying the $25 higher output 12Volt 6W dynamo...Since they sell a little usb phone charger that's compatible with the 12V 6W & also a battery pack, the dynamo can charge, so you still have lights if you stop 🛑..Plus the 12v 6W headlight is 2x brighter with an upgraded 12V LED bulb.. I have a little digital voltage guage/display meter, laying around. I could wire in, to show what my battery pack voltage is & or the dynamo voltage output when moving. I like the dynamo phone charger idea, so I can listen to music 🎧 on my phone with it mounted on handlebars. While I'm on empty back roads riding into town. My old computer & old phone are compatible so I can download all my old CDs 💿 into computer then transfer to old phone & use as an I-pod. If it gets lost or broke, it's no loss. Listening to music will make the 10 miles go by faster. I just remembered....since the dynamo kit can charge a phone. It'll also charge 1 of those $15 extra phone battery packs. So you'd be better off buying it for $15 to use as a removable battery 🔋 pack for head lights & phone. Since it could be recharged either by dynamo. Or taken inside & recharged off wall 🔌 plug-in. I think for now, I'm just gonna buy a $15 phone battery pack. Then later upgrade to a 12V dynamo if the 6V one will ever die. I've had it spinning at 40mph on the front wheel for miles with no issues. In 90F 🔥 & 20F ❄ .....🆗 🆗 I'm done typing for now. Chicks 🐥 ( . Y . ) dig motorized 🏁 bicycles 🚴 🤘🤪🤘
