Someone once gave me an old candy vending machine for scrap (it was about 800 lbs.! No wonder it’s hard to tip them over!😅) and it had a whole bunch of these motors where they turn the coils that dispense the candy. That was a fun scrap out. In fact I had to partially dismantle it just to tip it into my truck🥵. I don’t use a vice, but I just set them on the ground and hit the thin part with a hammer claw and the part opens up to pop out the copper part. They add up quickly because they are simple to scrap.

When I take them apart, I will open up my vice and I will put the spoon between the jaws and hold it down and take a hammer and hit on top of the spool and knock it off that way. It’s a whole lot faster than it is clamping it in the vice. I have used my standard holes in my pick up truck and knocked out that way. I always take my end, snips and cut the sides of the spool off. as you already know, some comes off really easy, and some don’t. Then I just pull the wire off of the spool and wad it 8:03 up in a ball just like you did. Now the bigger size copper that you pulled out of the grooves, do you sell it for number one or number two. I sell mine for number one and I cut all the solder pieces off, or the brass pieces off, then you’ve got clean number one. You can take him old ten snips and have them sharpened, and they will cut just like brand new ones. I want to know when you take a hard drive apart. There is a green green round spoke looking wheel that has copper on it. I have seen it for hours unwinding those by hand. I want to know from you do you have a better way of getting it off ?

I think you can sell that copper for crafts online for more, you have to keep it on the plastic, but take everything else off, people that do jewelry or wire wrapping would probably give you a 1$ for each, as long as the wire is not cut, that's 10bucks if you have 10 of them, already in a roll and not tangled or cut and still scrap the steel and cut and loose copper...
@elizebethedwards370
@elizebethedwards370 2 ай бұрын
Oh, sorry, the crafters may pay more, it also depends on the size wire and they pay for shipping too, not sure if you would make more money because of the fees on certain websites like eBay, but maybe FB online or others ways to get it sold, just a thought.
