ever since the R32 was retired from passenger service there been phasing out these since March 2022 almost hundreds more been being scrapped to Ohio & there some R32 are still in Service for Movie Train or NYTM events.

While the R211 has stolen my heart I will never forget these legends, hopefully the R211s will make as big of a legacy as these cars did.

Those R32 Subway cars could be used on the SIRT to live out their final lives they seem sound, They were scrapped too soon.

Best operating trains in the system I loved operating them on any line they should’ve scrapped the R 44s on the Staten Island railway and sent these over. These were in a lot better shape than those R44

I think the option 1 R211 order should take these fleet numbers from 3400-4039, the base order (incl. the R211Ts) is taking the R40/slant fleet numbers from 4040-4499

It's so sad to see these trains like this. I rode them when they were brand new back in 1964. There was nothing wrong with them when they last ran.

They destroy good things that work. There was not enough support to keep them from being scrapped. Look at The UNION PACIFIC BIG BOY steam engines they're quite a few of them preserved & have had many excursion trains. Couldn't more R 32 cars been saved to for excursions & Museum trains ?

We have four of them. That's more the enough.
