Scrapping 16 Microwaves How Much Copper Did i Get?. I get 16 Microwave to scrap, You see how much copper i get & how much aluminium transformers & Fan motors. It took about 5 min each on average to scrap. Thanks for watching & Please Subscribe + Share, Don't forget to comment thanks

I stripped a Panasonic 3 disc stereo my daughter gave me, and oh my god, it gave me a lot of copper, keep your eye open for the old, at least 10 year old stereos of this make, should definitely be worth your time, great video 👍👍👍👍

Nice Brother!! those big Microwaves are a little more work, i i striped 3 of them a couple weeks ago.... for some reason i found 3 in one day, i live in a small town.... to find 3 in a day was a first, and it wasn't even garbage day, as always, love your vids, and i love finding ones ive never seen, Peace Brother

I started collecting and stripping the transformers, I currently have 67 alu and about 30 full copper in the shed

I keep all the copper & dump the AL ones, They payed 15 Cents before for AL & now they told me 4 cents so i sold it as HMS for 6.5 Cents, If you strip the AL transformers you get a pound of AL in each

good video- what you should show is a breakdown on what is the dollars recovered vs time spent vs price you get whole as shread i get currently about 6.5 cents pound for shread microwayse cord get cut off and go with shred - we get 40 to 100 micros a week and less then 10% would have copper transformers and dont mess with magnatrons !!

Yes this video was mainly to show you how many have copper to aluminium, We only get 3 cents here as the scrap prices have fallen to very low levels

one year the biggest scrap yard in central iowa made me strip a 8x4 16 trailer of microwaves before they would accept the load. so since then what ever i gw i strip everything out. junkiegene

Hi I get a grinder and cut both ends off the magnetron as it's a big chunk of copper..I make sure I don't break the ends.

I can't remember, Each copper transformer is about 2 pounds

I have noticed that you take out the radioactive part of the microwave. Its dangerous to take them apart. Or am I missing something?

Those microwaves give radiation just like cell site towers, If you get to close the microwaves antennas it will cook you from the inside out. The microwave is a shielded box with a microwave antenna & your food cooks from the inside out, Its not radioactive & only dangerous when on

There is still beryllium oxide in those magnetrons, (the giant metal thing that isn’t the transformer) and it’s very dangerous if you lightly drop or hammer them because it will shatter and you’ll inhale the dust

@@Ferraday yeah I always cover the beryllium oxide with tape before I get the copper out of the magnetrons.
