Scrapping a smart kettle, was it smart?

This smart kettle had seen better days. No longer is it weighing the liquid utilised for the great British cup of tea. So it's the end of the road for this water boiler.
It's time to see how it's put together by taking it apart.

Thanks buddy. Even the simplest teardowns can be a lot of fun. This one was fun for sure but mainly because I hated that damn kettle 🤣

Oh man, that plastic sent your brass flying. The heating element came out so easily. Bummer the magnet stuck to the kettle. 3 subs away, very exciting brother!

Thank you brother. Any tips on how to remove that heating element from the aluminium plate?

@@ScrappingScotland you’re welcome! I put them in the vise with the ends of the element sticking up. I take the claw side of a hammer and wedge it between one of the ends of the element and I do some prying action, usually that will work but sometimes it doesn’t lol
