I think Black Metal is False Chord Highs but I could be wrong.

Goregrind uses audio pitch shifting which is why goregrind vocalists at least now sound so low.

@@stoopidhatersIt depends. Early Norwegian black metal like Mayhem's Deathcrush and Burzum's self titled were just them screaming at the top of their lungs as high as they could, nowadays it's mostly false chord though

I wanted to master this for so long, followed a few tutorials, but still can't get it, while singing "decently" was perfectly achievable. My parents once said "they scream because it's easy". Well, that might seem easy but do it and you will hurt yourself really quick. Doing it without damages is super hard.

you mention "lazy", but when im lazy, i don't get that tonality of george, but instead i get the distortion only sound. even with oomf, i can't get a slight amount of voice.
