I saw this movie in a 4D theater with moving seats that shook around and squirted water whenever someone got stabbed. Made it so goofy. Me and my buddy were giggling at every kill. Looked like psychos in the theater. The part with the shaking ladder was the funniest, cuz the seats shook in sync. Felt like ghost face was jostling us around like toddlers.

The bodega and train scene were my favorite of this movie.

When I went to go watch scream 6 no joke, I was the only one in the theater watching the movie. I thought someone in a ghost face mask was gonna pop out and chase me

I think I know how this movie fell apart. It comes from the writing room. Where Mindy explains how a franchise works and how now none of the main characters are safe. And then they decided to subvert your expectations, that they themselves set, by making the main characters literally unkillable. They played themselves.

At the end of *most* Screams, they have a quick clip of Ghostface slashing the screen, showing up for a half sec and doing SOMETHING, which essentially indicates that Ghostface will return.

The scariest part was seeing Courtney Cox with her horrible face lift.

3/10 for me. That movie was stupid. People getting stabbed multiple times in the gut, and then running up the very next scene like nothing happened? And that happened SOOOO many times in the movie. People getting shot and shrugging it off too? Wtf. It's just a dumb movie.

Honestly what gave it away for me was when the cop asked about the girls' alibi and once she mentioned the therapist and one of the next scenes was the therapist by himself, I was thinking "Who else could have known about this therapist?"

As a generic horror thriller, Scream 6 is fine. But as part of the Scream franchise, it rank at 5 or 6 for me. It’s the most unrealistic in franchise.

With that level of predictability and the ending we got, it's nowhere NEAR an 8 out of 10.

It might be a stretch, but I think that the GF that attacked Gale and her new boyfriend might have been Stu...the only evidence I have for this, besides the strength issue, is he went for the 2 handed over head stab. If you know your Scream lore, that's how Stu wields the knife. Could just be an Easter Egg, but it would explain him being able to headlock and toss the boyfriend through the bookshelf

For some reason, the neighbor has a ladder in a New York apartment, which is probably TINY, that is only long enough to reach the building window next to his. Oh and it’s conveniently nearby and he remembered AFTER the girl died. Trash is an understatement.

One other thing that made me go wtf was when they explained how they faked the redheads death. The father said “I was first on the scene and I switched her out with a fresh dead body and used a PROSTHETIC.” I capitalized that because you would think the police would notice and also they would do an autopsy on the body.

My primary issue with the two new Radio Silence Scream films lies heavily in their severe lack of originality. They simply do not know how to come up with something new. The first 4 films by Wes Craven were brilliant and truly spoke on what was happening at that time period in cinema. These two new movies are poorly done re-makes of Scream 1 and 2. If you pay attention to the dialogue, it’s clear that the reboot/requel is their primary goal; which is completely lazy and redundant. Boyfriend killer, Stu’s house for the finale, College for the 2nd setting, Parent of the ex-killer seeking revenge, etc, etc. The Character writing is lazy, all three of the killers are incapable of the strength shown throughout the movie, characters survived inexplicably after countless mortal stab wounds and gun shots, etc. Not to mention how lazy the fakeout death is compared to Scream 3. We never saw Roman be hunted or killed by Ghost Face; just him discovering the coffin and coming up with the idea vs “oh yeah we switched the bodies.” Lazy Writing!!!! This movie was just trying as hard as possible to shock us while being blatantly obvious that the killer would follow that of the Scream 2 reveal. Also, the lackluster lines like “Who cares about the movies” when the motive of the killer is to avenge someone who loved the movies so much. The ending could of been better but honestly it was fine for what it was, a scream movie. One thing I did find kinda funny was the guy getting stabbed multiple times surviving again which made me think like damn dudes durable lol. But the ending could of been a bit better, the end had a few moments that could of dabbled in the psychological aspects of Sam where this family get what they want and get her to wear the mask but when she does it that’s when Billy would take over and begin killing again which would add a mixture of maybe supernatural aspects to her psychological situation. Maybe they could introduce a sequence where all the ghost face constumes would be used in a dream sequence that helps Sam get rid of her delusions for good and help her advance her life breaking free of her curse in her mind as Billy’s daughter. Could of been interesting

Scream 4 was waaayyyyy ahead of it's time. I honestly don't believe that Alex has seen any scream other that 5-6 since he's saying it's an awful franchise. By far the most consistent slasher franchise.

Remember that scene with the ladder? Two of their friends just died and Wednesday girl makes a joke about enjoying hitting that old woman and smirks. And the father/police officer of dead girl was also standing next to them. Can’t believe you guys didn’t mentioned. 😂😂😂

I went to cinemark and after I bought a frame for the poster at walmart they give you at the entrance, it was pretty cool, enjoyed it a lot, always go to see them with my sister.

I know it's supposed to be dumb fun, but dear god, levels fam. The cop runs at Sam with a gun in his hand? Or he turns around and he's still got time to shoot and he just keeps screaming "NO"? Chad getting pretty much knife acupunctured but bcs of the power of love survives. Tara getting stabbed and just walking it off. It was just too much

The filmmakers missed a PRIME opportunity for some great locations. Someone being chased to the top of the statue of liberty and having ghost face running at them in the moonlight of the windows in the crown? Central park? Grand central station? Empire state building toss? The national museum?

This is the only horror franchise that has been consistent with the quality. I loved Scream 5 and 6. They also know what they have and dont take themselves too seriously. (Not as silly as Fast N furious) but entertaining and very fun none the less.

The amount of times people get stabbed like 10 plus times and live is just comical I thought the museum of all the scream movie weapons and costumes was pretty cool but ending was pretty horrendous

I literally agree with Alex 100%. This movie had me very entertained about 80% of the way through. Pretty much up until they get to the shrine room or to the “kill box”. I was thinking “wow is this going to be my favorite Scream sequel since Scream 2?!” Then I got to the 3rd act and said... As usual, loved most of the films, hated the ending. I get it's a joke that the killers are always weak little dweebs, but it's getting old. Like for once could we get like an ex marine wearing a bulletproof vest, or like someone with special effects experience that pretends Billy Loomis has risen from the grave and that Ghostface is supernatural even though it's just effects. Something creative like that. But no, we get more whiny teens.

Did you play Miles Morales? Jasmine plays “Phin.” The obvious option would be “Yellowjackets.”

The final “jump scare” is meant to say that ghostface is returning for another movie.

I love when the killer is exposed and they’re like “Yeah, of course it was me.” That gave me a pretty good laugh. The “hot guy” was hilarious too. I’m going to admit though, they had me for the whole movie. The whole time, I was convinced that it was someone we’re certainly familiar with in the series, but haven’t seen for a long time. I was hoping for it, but we didn’t get that at the end. Kind of bummed me out a bit. I’ll see these movies forever until that character comes back, but I also don’t think there is a reason for them to if Sidney is out of the series. Wouldn’t have made a ton of sense for them to be the killer in Scream 6, but I still would have loved it. As far as the “Core Four” characters getting stabbed a bunch and surviving, I think they’re kind of poking fun at the point that the core characters can’t die in order to lengthen out a horror series.

also, they kinda tease stu being alive here, when one comments on the tv, kirby says "yeah if you believe he's dead" indicating that the body of Stu wasn't found, otherwise there wouldn't be a doubt if he was dead

The Father was so comically evil at the end, it ruined the climax reveal. What they should of done: Killed the daughter ghost face with the gun, when she was attacking gale. When you get the reveal that its the roommate who we all thought was dead, throws the audience off. BUT this give motivation of the father snapping into a comic book villain

I think the ending of this movie was a complete re shoot. A lot of things don't make sense and I heard there was a different plan for this movie but things changed when Sidney wasn't on board. There are even lines seen in the trailer that were not in the movie like ghostface saying you never seen someone like me. IMO the killer was someone else and swapped last minute for this family.

It was a mixed bag for me but what really made me tetter into annoyance was Mindy (Mandy? Idk) idk why maybe cause they made her character the Randy of the group but like, not likeable or funny at all, laying out all the "rules" for a five minute un interrupted monologe or maybe it was that when me and my boyfriend saw it in the theater we waited through the credits and the after credit scene was literally Mindy saying "not every movie needs a post credit scene." It felt like everytime she opened her mouth she was just mocking the audience and not in the funny satirical scream way. Just straight up shoved in your face with no actually witty commentary or jokes. The sisters were good, Chad was just stereotypical strong hot guy so whatever, I wasn't actually suspicious of Ethan at all so I didn't mind the incel twist at the end but really thought the whole "I had to room with an alpha literally named chad!" shit was so cringe.

I was really hoping for a Cult of Ghostface killers in this one I thought that’s what they were going for in that train scene. You’re wondering which one is the killer then you shit bricks realizing they all are. That would’ve been epic. A squad of them. Also it would be pretty sweet for Sam &/or Tara going full Dexter & serial killing other copycat Ghostfacers

the movie was good until the last 20 minutes ... the final act was a complete mess ... this is what separates a lot of movies is how they conclude the movie

So fun fact, this is my first ever Scream movie I've ever seen(I saw bits and pieces of the first one, but I only know the movie because of Scary movie). So my original theory was that it was the shy boy(got that one right) and Chad because Ghost Face was hella strong in this movie, and Chad is a big dude

Courtney Cox being the executive producer for this movie makes sense now because she gets to have a knock down drag out fight even though he's IN her apartment..she even shoots at him but ends up being stabbed up and she then gets a death scene...but PMT to the rescue "she's still breathing" then carried off to come back in ANOTHER film, maybe loses her memory (so she can be any type of character, being the boss!) or even being a ghost face...thatd give me a seizure for sure!

(Slight Spoiler warning) But can someone explain how the cute boyfriend guy who they all just recently finally met that same night, was somehow able to know all of their cellphone numbers when he texted all of them separately showing them the picture of ghost face in the roommates room standing behind her?? That confused me so much but maybe I’m missing something that would have explained that part?? Either way I liked the movie but everytime I think of the dumb parts like that it makes me like it a bit less. Great review tho!!

The amount of stabs the characters survive is just nuts, but still a good brutal sequel. The intro sequence was great and glad to see somwthing different. 8/10.
