I think that the cause of the screen protector failings was the screen protector not covering the phone screen till edges, because easily the class absorbe all the damage thanks to the protector not being in the main area of force.

those screen protectors are amazing, you just need a case on your phone, if it’s dropped flat on it’s face and hits a rock or something the screen protector will typically crack not the screen

The weird white smudge is where the Apple logo used to be and a lot of people who ship batteries from China to the US either cover up or remove the Apple logo since US customs often picks those packages out.

i think this was the one with a swollen battery and he sent a new one with the phone then the phone guy used isopropal to see if it was real or not and to see if it happened again with the same type of battery

Yeah in China they make rip off fake apple batteries or use older half dead batteries they re label as new. Use 98.99 isopropyl alcohol on it and you can usually rub off the logo showing if it's fake or real. That's why aperture batteries are usually the best to use.

@Price Patterson I'm not sure if that is an additional reason why. I'm a little doubtful because good repair people know where to get genuine batteries from. And the rest of the repair people wouldn't know to remove the logo. Maybe that has been done in the past, but I know I lot of overseas sellers need to cover up logos, not just on batteries, and that is one way it is done.

What probably happen is they cracked their screen, then added a screen protector, so they didn’t get glass in their finders.

These batteries aren't actually original, seen those alot, these logos are wiped off because these chinese companies lack of licences.

He dropped it on a corner, so the display glass still compressed and shattered. These screen protectors only will protect from face-down drops/impacts and scratches.

This exact thing has happened to my cousins iphone xs. He dropped it accidentally and the protector was rock solid, not even a scratch. But the screen was shattering as the days go by. It looked like a cobweb after a week.

I just tonight started to dissect my friends old iPhone 6 that I “borrowed” from him. I made 2 short vids on it and I love how easy it is to get into and repair. A lot of electrical stores charge at least 70$ to 100$ to replace a screen. For iPhone 6, it is 10 dollars to buy a screen, 10 minutes of watching PRG, and 10 minutes of your time to put in a screen. Super easy. If apple can’t do it, I don’t know if they even make the phones at this point

After watching a lot of you replacing screens made me sad because I had a drawing tablet that got thrown away that had so many drawings on it, (for context this was a Picasso tab, it's basically a tablet that comes with everything that you get a basic drawing tablet but also some pre installed art programs) and I stepped on it on accident, the screen was glitched to heck and back I asked my parents multiple times to go and fix it (we were on a time crunch because we were moving and it was months before we had to move) but when we moved my dad threw it out. And I still feel mad to this day lol

Which phone? If it’s iOS then you can check battery health just search battery on settings and then go to battery health,it tells you if you should replace it or not

This is what people get when they complain about their screen protectors breaking so easily. They're supposed to break, their entire job is to protect from scratches and to break. You don't buy a screen protector for it to never break. Breaking helps dissipate the energy that otherwise would be going into your phone screen.

I hated my iPhone 6 it would always bend & make the screen detach from the phone, got it repaired twice but the third time it happened I upgraded to the 7 plus. I currently have the 11 now though.
