It’s not a series. Neither 10 Cloverfield Lane nor Cloverfield Paradox started out as related to Cloverfield. They had their “Cloverfield links” added in at a much later stage. In the case of Cloverfield Paradox, that change was made during production with overdubs and a couple of added scenes.

The event's of this movie opened a wormhole and let monsters, aliens, etc. to come into 3 different dimensions of Earth. But this 3rd movie seems to be connected to the 1st movie the same Earth, the second movie's aliens looked different. Well but all the years are different so maybe it is all different dimensions.

Actually, it wouldn't retcon anything. Such as the way things have been set up. Being as... With the last one, tearing holes in not only the present, but also the past, they can literally churn out another twenty without having to retcon anything, at any point, whether it's D-day, The first Christmas, Avalon with King Arthur, or the battle of Thermopylae (Spelling?). So each movie, we as the viewer kind of see things unfold, as it would for those who are experiencing that specific rift, as it's happening.

I havent watched the movie yet, but maybe just maybe the 2008, 2016 movie are in the same universe and when they turned the particle accelerator on when transported to another universe and when they got it back right it open the ripple effect where the past was changed starting in 2008, caused the creatures from another universe to invade earth 2008 then fast forward to 2028 the earth is all screwed up from the past and since Overlord takes place during WW2 it really started then but the creatures remained dormant until 2008 🤔 one thing about these movies it gives room to many many theories

But it wasn't just a time paradox. It was a spacetime paradox. And yes, the events of one will effect the others. Like this video states, the events of this film is likely the cause for all the other events, including those in the past. Consider this film a prequel inside a temporal-spatial paradox.

There was no mystery in the third movie. They revealed the entire plot in the first few minutes with an audio of some commenter warning about "the Cloverfield Paradox" and "monsters" due to the experiments they were doing with the particle accelerator on the space station. That is HORRIBLE writing, even though it was added to the movie in post-production.

People enjoy it when films make more questions than answers when watching but after it finishes 50% of the audience will hate not having all the answers. Its a paradox.

I enjoyed the fist two movies. They were fun and entertaining. (The first movie could have been done without the "found footage" aspect, in my opinion, though. It still would have worked.) The third movie was poorly made. It was choppy and gave away the entire plot in the first few minutes. The scenes were poorly tied together. The acting was bad. The directing was bad. Those elements make for bad movies. As far as the two first movies being tied together: why? They made for a great anthology series and didn't need to be tied together.

Holes in timespace caused by the events of The Cloverfield Paradox triggered events across space-time, 2 of which include those seen in the previous two films. I know doing research is hard and time-consuming and I feel for anyone burdened with the torturous task of doing research in order to understand something, seriously, life is hard, it sucks and I get it...but not understanding this is entirely your own fault.

That's true but why was that monster so large? I'm thinking there were always more monsters in the original cloverfield. My theory is that Cloverfield and this movie are happening at the same time and based on the same earth. I think cloverfield must be set in the future now as well and they pulled a tokyo drift on us.
