You cannot win the battle, with people who are with war with themselves

I shed a couple of tears while watching this video. She's right.. I could never win a battle with a person having war with himself.

Rules of breaking up to break through - 1. Be afraid of losing yourself - as in do not lose yourself. 2. You can lie to yourself but your body won’t lie to you. Can you white knuckle your way to success? You might try but that’s just lying to yourself. 3. Drop what you think is going to make you happy and be what you are - kind, confident, hard working. 4. What does my heart want to give? It doesn’t want to be alone. 5. What is a talent that you can break up with? Self-doubt and procrastination. 6. What can that be replaced by? What can bring you a step closer? Working hard, even if it’s at my 85%, everyday. ❤️ Thank you for this talk.

So painful to watch. Going through a breakup right now, It hurts to even exist!!!

I am healing chronic illness as well. I got sick when I was at least 19 or younger and I'm now 55. It's a blessing "in some ways" that people don't get sick until they're older. I know going to doctor after doctor after doctor.. So much courage so much rage I love the cou-rage. Very good to hear 🙏💝

I am from Idaho Falls Idaho...who is this woman?? I never needed a TED Talk so much in my life and I'm at home in Idaho Falls (not a big town) heartbroken during the holidays...I had a studio in Downtown LA and I was miserable. Going onto my next steps and needed this message. Wild how certain messages come to you at the times you need it most. Thank you, Abbey!

I am going through break up, I started working out, reading, jogging and going in-wards. Every day I read out loud this text from Dune, like a praying. "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." Basically I am working o releasing what I cannot control, use key motos, go and jogg in places where there is nature and quiet, read something that you really like. I am feeling better by the day, every time I have bad thoughts I put myself into question, hate(fear) is fuel for the pain and if you let it take hold it festers like a disease. Cut off social media, resist the temptation of cheking the other person, she will call you and you must not put yourself(emotionally) into the memento, practice stoicism and love yourself.

Going through a break up right now and I get it what she means by breaking up with myself, I need to let go to the known and step into the unknown and stay hopeful.

It's so tough :( I didn't just loose my girlfriend. I lost my best friend for the last 20 years. I lost the mother of my daughter. I lost my family. I lost our dreams. And I get to know that I was the one who did it. I'm the one who took the decision. I still loved her then, but we just couldn't find the same path. We kept going in opposite directions and there was friction every day. I missed her almost every day after moving out. Now she's moved on. I still miss her. So what did I do?! Why didn't I fight harder for us. Why did I let it slip. I hate me for destroying our fantastic family :(.
