Truth, shit like this happens so often to us black people, and this was just one of his days. I'm proud he had the nerve and heart to share it with you all. NKoegs, in my case my ex trapped me by making me feel helpless to move away and scuttling any attempts to do so, isolating me from my friends by stirring up shit all the time, trying to convince me that I was so awful nobody else could ever love me and that I just irritated everyone around me... etc etc. I never got hit, but frequently got screamed at, threatened, walls punched near my head, one time a door kicked through as I was walking by it... It's not just physical abuse (or the threat of it), it's also some really, really fucked up psychological manipulation. But after him I moved in with a great friend who's always there to support me, then ended up with a really lovely woman who treated me wonderfully, so... well, I still have some serious PTSD issues but the worst damage, like him convincing me I was unattractive and awful, was reversed by that friend and that girlfriend 😊
