Let you create something, someone else more powerful and well-known steals it, then that person gets all the credit and accolades for it. That joke was used on the *Kings* of Comedy, which received worldwide attention and is a classic. Ced thought he was stealing from a no body comedian, and if there wasn't video proof, I doubt he would have had admitted to it.
