Just to explain what is happening for folks who don't know, Scud is a robot assassin programmed to kill its target and self destruct. Scud sees the warning about self destruction in a mirror while killing Jeff, the boss of the first stage. He just severely wounds Jeff instead, puts him on life support, and starts taking jobs to pay the hospital bills to keep Jeff alive. That's why Scud has to assasinate Barry Polipooey in the prison in stage 2, as being thaf he is not Scud's programmed target, he will not explode. The game follows the Heavy 3P0 arc of the comic pretty closely. Hank Gritt in stage 3 is the god of the Grittites, worshippers of manliness and unnecessary explosions, etc. It's remarkably faithful. Player 2, Drywall, is Scud's best friend. He is covered in zippers and cloth because he contains an entire alternate universe inside of him, from which he can pull literally anything as needed. He is the devil's brother, and gets tangled up with Scud in his battle with Voodoo Ben Franklin, who is exactly what he sounds like. The girl chasing them is Sussudio, who starts the series hunting the rogue Scud before things get wild, but she is connected to everything though a bunch of what would be severe spoilers. Awesome comic, and blast of a game!!

Awesome run! You guys are the only channel I've ever seen showcase this mode that one of my friends and I have enjoyed since the '90s, but no one ever seemed to care. Hank Gritt himself would be proud!

The music in this game is so bad ass

I know very little (if anything) when it comes to the Sega Saturn. Aside from Genesis and Dreamcast I've never seen them in my area (until recently when I came across a Master System). So that being said I've never heard of this game. This is going to be a hell of a ride though. I believe in you guys in this NDR attempt. You had mentioned that you've done many attempts at the NDR, but as they say practice makes perfect - YOU GOT THIS!!!!! Ahh the good old days of broken levels....glad they're over........wait they still exist?? ahhhhh shit. Love hearing you guys banter and chat during your videos, the friendship truly shines through and the love of this hobby is beautiful. Game looks really cool and fun, although if NDR is your goal, stressful. The T-Rex looks cool. I was almost screaming at the TV "PATIENCE ROBERT, PATIENCE!!!!!!, Don't Panic". This was super awesome guys. Great work, I was stressed watching you play, can only imagine what it was like to ACTUALLY be playing this. Fantastic watch, bravo guys. #Roadto45k

If I had a Saturn this game would be in my top 3 purchase ASAP games! (amongst Die Hard Arcade, Three Dirty Dwarves, and now.. SCUD!)

Thank you guys so much for doing this! I really love the Saturn and only recently starting acquiring games for it, and while this game has always intrigued me all of the content I've heard surrounding it has been someone negative. So needless to say, I really appreciate you guys confirming my interest in it as being worthwhile, even if rough around the edges. Cheers, fellas 🙂

One of my favorites back on the Sega Saturn was Mr. Bones! Pretty cool sounds track as well.

As I am not a fan of Sega but a fan of video games (and GotG of course), this was a fun one. I would love to see a third game made with a modern take in the SCUD universe. Cheers!

me and my wife were playing this a couple of nights ago and beat it on one run. I forgot I had this game and I was thinking of playing co op games and it brought me to my attention that the sega saturn had great co op games and I ended up playing this

Cool, man! When I was a kid, I actually read one of these comics. There was some cool stuff outside of DC/Marvel at that time like Scud, The Maxx, Aeon Flux.... or maybe those were just MTV weird cartoons... The Head!! Anyway... cool video, guys!

Great looking Saturn game, on my watchlist! I picked up another recommendation from you, Slam & Jam '96. I love it! These retro sports games always hit the spot for me.
