The depth and breadth of your skill and artistry are a joy to witness, for sure. I was skeptical that anyone would be up to the challenge of accentuating the Porsche's body lines, but I believe you've done it! I really like the idea of the vents behind the front fenders, if you think you can pull it off.

Jeremy, I think this is an excellent video for showing a different side of the build - the plan it out a bunch before you spend more money side, money that's hard to come by. How long did this take? I think something that would be good to talk about is, was there a need or just a desire to rework the sides? Obviously, the back and front needed to be created, but why the sides? I think it would be cool to have the tail lights triangle go around to the back the rear wheel arch - end at a rear marker light and have the bottom of that line invisibly pass through the line coming from the bottom of the air intake in front of the rear wheel. Thoughts?

That was so incredibly satisfying and relaxing to watch!! Regarding styling, I really like where you are going, looks really smart without going too far. you mention the posibility of vents after the front wheels, vents in the front gril, and styling on the bonnet (hood) and yes to all of those, as well as styling lines around the bodywork. One thing I will add though (if I may) is what about the roof? Could you add somethingsubtle to the roof? An air scoop could be too much, but something simple and sleek maybe? Great work as always, and as much as I want to see the finished car I'm really enjoying watching the build/transformation 🙂

Love what you are doing, thanks for the personal inspiration. This is the kind of fan fiction that I can really get behind! Also, here is some of the feed back you had solicited: 1) Haunches and Headlights are what make a Porsche. 2)Typically Porsche body panels are composed of progressively gentler, compound planar radii. Hard edges are mostly found at the termination (skirts), conjunction (sills), or interruption (panel breaks, gas cap, vents, diffuser) of existing planes. Meaning, maybe accentuating the radially parabolic shapes that define the upper portion of the wheel arches, and softening the hard edges on the duck tail and front bumper could help your improvements shine, while maintaining that Porsche design house feel?)

An medium more to small sized silhouette style airduct on the back front part could be a great addition, make it minor so it doesn't ruin or took the style away,a hood line like porsche taycan great idea, for the back spoiler maybe try make it like porsche 959(1986) rally style spoiler it's pretty big but it's kinda flat.

this is really cool, it shows how in-depth you go with these projects. as a suggestion (not that I'm an expert, but I technically am a product designer) I'd say that in clay modelling on this scale you do not need to add many details, like hood indentations or small details, clay is mostly useful to figure out broader lines of the car or the kit you are working on. One thing that you can add that can become super helpful, especially if you plan to scan the model and carry it in CAD, is to draw some panels separation lines (I suggest either using a pen over the clay or some tiny paper strips) and some volumetric lines, such as a middle line for reference, some guides to better see the volumes in digital form.

Not sure if it's because it's still a work in progress, but for the "lips" of the front bumper, I think you should round those out more. Right now you have them pretty squared off and with all the other curves of the model it stuck out in my opinion. Loving the build man! Keep it up!

Nice concept and a ton more patience than I will ever have. One thing in modelling this way is that everything is additive, ie. you cannot remove anything from the model (unless you grind it away) where in reality you will probably remove certain panels and moldings.

The spoiler and where it meets the wheel arch looks a bit off. I personally really like the overall "roundness" of old porsche designs and I feel like this got a bit lost in the front. I'd reduce the horizontal ridge in front of the hood. This could also improve aerodynamics.

Really impressive work! The design you've created is a little 'American' for a European car but that's ok, it's your creation. All I'd say on that is if you completely remove the clay from the bonnet (hood) you'll be able to save the time in doing anything to that panel entirely. The more you alter, the less 'Porsche' you're going to make it, so keeping some panels like the bonnet and doors intact will remind the eyes that it's a Porsche. If it were me, I'd design certain aspects so I can fit parts from other cars. I.e. the front bumper would be carved to your style but to allow the fitment of GT3 RS DRLs and grilles using their stock mounting tabs/bolts. The rear 1/4 vents from the GT2 RS would also look amazing if you sculpted to accept those too. Of course you can pull your own carbon versions but do so from plugs made off original parts. Also, by adding the 3D printed wheels you also went a lot bigger in diameter. If you're planning on running wheels/tyres that size then fine, otherwise the arch gaps won't look correct. You'll also notice that now the body is wider, it also appears to be higher from the ground (bigger rolling radius wheels/tyres will also raise the body) so consider the ride height too. You may want to sculpt the skirts and bumpers to sit slightly lower than they do on the stock car, or make your own carbon extensions when you're done with the body mods. Finally, bigger rolling radius wheels/tyres on a wider track will drastically alter the handling, so there's going to be a lot of work to do with geometry and arm lengths, not just so the fronts don't turn and rub your new creations.

I love the way the clay model turned out in the end, it has some distinctive Porsche design cues to it! Some ideas I think could look cool: - A Porsche 911 GT3RS style cutout on the rear bumper to vent out the high pressure behind the rear wheels. - The front end reminds me of both the flatnose 911s and the Mission R so maybe something with the newer (four horizontal LED bar) headlights could look good. - Maybe a passthrough from the nose to over the hood (looking like the 918 perhaps?) -I don't know how practical it might be, but the rear spoiler could be something like the integrated ones on the catfish Camaro or the 959. I think that would look really cool with the swooping lines starting at the rear quater.

I think you did an outstanding job blending the sides into the widened wheel arches. And the front looks mostly good (less is more in styling. IMO, you don't want to over do it with vents and lines). My biggest concern is the rear spoiler. I think it looks too "Camero", doesn't really fit with the rest of the Euro styling cues. A little more curving/blending could go a long way. Are you going to fabricate all these body panels, or are you looking at off-the-shelf options? Also, is this car going to be more track-focused (where you'd want more aero) or more of a daily driver (avoid low aero panels that would scape on city streets)?

I would be very cautious with the wide body aspect. The 981 Boxster/Caymen is one of the best handling cars I have ever driven, and I would hate to see those excellent characteristics ruined for looks. So I would first try to drive with the wheel spacers before committing to building the wide body kit for it and see how you like it. I think you did an excellent job sculpting it! Aerodynamics wise I do like the elongated tail, but I would slim it down further beyond the C--pillar. Instead of placing the cooler in the front you might want to think about a cool roof-air-scop and a rear mounted cooler. That would give you extra space for batteries up front.

I like cars a lot & I'm not going to pretend that I understand how aerodynamics work but something I'm aware of is that most electric car manufacturers takes into consideration (and perhaps integrates in their marketing) is the "drag coefficient" (again, I have no idea how that works). Considering the shape of the car, is this something you keep in mind? I vaguely remember (or my brain is just making that up) that you talked about that this car's battery capacity would be less than "normal"?

The car has a lot of Potential aerodynamic wise. The wing in the back is a aero disaster. It produces a lot of drag and downforce wise is also a lot to improve. A round end with a fitting wing can help a lot. Wheelvents, help to reduce the overall brake heat. Wich is not as big of a problem with regenerative braking. But of course they Look cool 😎 A diffusor in the back also helps with drag. For a functioning one, you have to close the bottom of the car. The now faster moving air can now be guided to the diffusor. I hope this helps a bit. If any more questions ocure, feel free to ask.

@@emilkurth9235 Thanks for answering, the little I do know is that combustion engines doesn't really have to worry that much about drag coefficients compared to electric cars that has to worry about in of many ways to conserve energy. Once again, thank you for answering!

Everytime I think of that era? I realize a 1957 Chevy has almost the exact same wheel base and width as a model 3 does. Imagine buying a perf model 3 for about 43k after the tax credit. Stripping off the body and selling every single part you can. Get a 57 body straight from an authorized reproduction sheet metal shop. And grafting it onto a modern tesla. Of course you'd need to redo the interior for a more period correct look. And some classy restomod 18/20" wheels maybe even white letter tires? But what a ride that would be!

The whole point of using a Porsche chassis is that the lines are already drawn out for you it's a classic design. All you have to do is add batteries and a motor. I guess what I'm saying is if it ain't broke don't fix it

@@ElectricSuperCar Don't get me wrong The 9/11 the 718 the 986 they all look alike so making small adjustments to that is no different than what Porsche does. I guess what I'm trying to say is let's keep it simple

It looks good. My recommendation, and this is just my opinion because it's your project, you should go wilder and still make it look like a Porsche. Cut the roof. Look at 911 Concept sketches. You can do anything in the world you want to do and you are already making custom body panels, so why make it look similar to something people can already buy? As always, a big fan of your work and your projects.

Very cool video, like the calmness of making a model :D But did you paid for that 3d print? :O thats actually not that good of quality i feel atleast, i would have demanded a new one if i was gonna pay 90 bucks for that atleast :/ but hey if your happy. thats all that matters tho ;) looks much better with clay on it

I think you missed your calling in life.... you should have been a car designer. I'll be curious to see how you get from the clay to a scaled-up version for your car. Will we see the first all carbon fiber Porsche? :)

The current design looks like it adds both weight and drag. The rear needs to loose bulk; use the 930 for inspiration. The channel that used to be the rear tail lights reminds me of a 80's Camero and would probably be a source of induced drag. Is it needed? Directing air to areas needing cooling is good, but not designing a means for it to exit is bad. Just because you can change something, doesn't mean you should. It would be a shame if you designed a body that was a cause of high-speed instability.

Hello, you transformed the design of your posche into the design of a porsche. Try something more brutal, like lamborghini, like the f35 airplane. If you watch this airplane from the bottom, the air intake. Throw this soft washed curvy porsche design away and add some corners and edges.

The proportions seem a little off in this first attempt. Maybe narrow the front track width by an inch and increase the rear track width by a similar amount. Just needs to sit a bit more aggressive if it’s going to live up to your channel name.

You already had a 3d model for the print, why are you playing with clay instead of sculpting the body kit in Blender? Or better: Scan the car and use that as a base. You could print properly symmetric parts that only need minor surface finish before you make moulds.

I would not touch the exterior of the car. Nor the interior. I would simply do a conversion to electric, and keep everything else as authentic as possible. And that would be "cool" enough. Custom body panels almost never look OEM in quallity, and that's just sad to do to a car like this. Otherwise very good job! I really like your videos, cheers from Macedonia! 🇲🇰
