In this video:
I started this offshore fishing trip feeling a little sick, but that didn't bother me. It's fishing time! Kevin picked me up early in the morning and we head to Stan Blum Boat Ramp which is in Fort Pierce, Florida.
At the boat ramp I can already smell a fishy catch and cook in the air. I grew up fishing with Kevin out of the Fort Pierce inlet so this is my element. There have been lots of fishing reports of cobia in the area so our goal was 100% to catch cobia and then of course cook cobia!
We run offshore and it's already a little rough. We start by using a sabiki rig to catch bait. Don't worry this isn't a bait catch n cook. Then we move to do some bottom fishing at another location. Man do I love south Florida. Well I guess Fort Pierce is more of the treasure coast, but for my fishing channel sake let's call this South Florida. This is the South Florida Fishing Channel after all...
We start bottom fishing offshore and quickly catch some kingfish. I was having a blast catching these kingfish and already excited to catch a kingfish. Little did I know I was going to get sea sick offshore. I haven't gotten seasick in over 10 years. But seasickness was going to find me today. Don't worry I don't get seasick until later in this fishing episode. Good think I shot it in 4k HD! heh
We move bottom fishing spots again and finally get on the fish. We catch more kingfish and catch cobia. This cobia was a beast! After we catch the cobia I get sea sick but that doesn't stop me from fishing. I gaff another kingfish and pretty happy with this offshore trip.
Time for the catch and cook the first ever in 4k HD! I will be saving the kingfish for the next episode. In this catch n cook I will cook cobia and boy did it turn out yummy. Overall, this was an awesome trip but I hope I never get sea sick offshore again!

16:20. At least he got the gaff in the tail and not the belly or the back loin. On a boat this close to the water a short gaff if much easier to gaff more accurately. Nice Cobia!

I have heard that eating grapes and bread or saltine crackers will help alleviate seasickness. I once was so sea sick I had to lie down on the deck of a long range charter boat for 10 hours with my head facing the scupper deck drain while I dry heaved. I thought I was gonna die. An asshole on the boat repeatedly put a garlic salami and red onion sandwich in front of my nose to "help me get better"

Sick video and sick edit bro! HaHa! It was rougher than snot out there, you can really see it after the cobia is in the box. On that camera angle you can see the waves off the bow. This is Sportfishing! Thanks for the claim at the end!

I too get sick, So I use a product called Bonine and I also use the wrist bracelets. Have used both for 10 years never been sick no matter how rough..

So I’m sitting at my desk eating my lunch and watching Hieko and friends catching these nice fish. About the time I finish up Hieko start chumming the water and filming it!!! So I turned away but then the audio was still up and that was even worse. I did not need that!!!🤢. Other than that great video!

I have a hard time doing anything when I can’t breath. If you can’t breath long enough you go into a dead sleep. I know you said through your nose. I like being a smart ass or a dumb ass. Can’t be both I only have one ass. Sambucol cough med is a good cold remedy. Try Walgreens. It’s made with elderberries. Elderberry wine helps too. Hope you feel better.

It was so rough especially during that squall a stabilizer might not have made much difference. Seas were about as rough as I would fish in my 24’ CC.

Keith, it was pretty rough out there. 3'-4' short period seas and whitecapping wind. Really surprised we all didn't get sick!

I'm not Downing you at all so don't think I'm attacking you please but I would like to know what is the law in Florida for keeping foul hooked fish because everybody in Florida is doing it.... you just caught the fish the captain of that boat threw it in the Fish Box

@@SouthFloridaFishingChannel where I'm from in Washington state if you keep a foul hooked fish it will cost you a lot of money and I have seen people right next to me get fined for it the law states in Washington from the Gill plates forward to the nose is illegal catch that's why I was asking about their because your skipper kept PayPal hooked fish and I see it happening all the time in Florida that's why I was wondering what the law actually States not that I care I was just wondering
