--A slideshow for modifying my Voxel sub( designed by toidsdiyaudio.com). My goal was to build a skinny small subwoofer to fit behind a sofa. Use it as a second sub in my listening room to help prevent bass nulls across the room, mainly for music, not home theater.
I doubled the woofers, passives, and cabinet cubic volume. Plus a little extra volume to account for added braces and amp box.
There's definitely some noise added to the Test Tones from the youtube upload(Especially the 30Hz tone). There was no noise on the original videos. The sub plays quite cleanly down to 35Hz and rolls off sharply. I think what you hear on the 20Hz tone is actually a harmonic, not the 20Hz tone.

Early conclusions:
It sounds good, blends well with my SVS SB1000pro sub, and digs deep for a little cabinet. Even a small sub like this can help with room modes, especially in a nearfield capacity(Behind the listeners seat). Even a cheap plate amp can perform($60). It's quiet, versatile, variable frequency adjustment, 0/180 phase, and Auto On/Off without that annoying little "Pop On/OFF" sound that a lot of cheap amps give you. Even the Isolation feet($14) really do a great job of keeping this little sub de-coupled from the floor and walking. I think my design with opposing woofers and passives also keep it from dancing too much. So far, so good. More follow up later if needed.
