I'm totally obsessed as well. Adore the music as well and thus era is my favourite.... really appreciate the historical context too. It has everything.... dreading it ending...

I so agree !!!!! I loved Downton Abby but Seaside Hotel is so perfect with its bits of comic relief and Cole porter songs !!!! All of the characters bring an endearing quality. The scenery is beautiful and the food looks delicious !!!!!

It is THE very best for me. I got the PBS passport so i could watch it. The 9th season is included.

I only just found this on Amazon Prime and subscribed to PBS Masterpiece to continue the series. Obsessed with this wonderful series! I am in love with Fie, Edith, Otilia, Martha and Mrs. Anderson! What a lovely idyllic hotel! The reviews that I've read fail to mention the gorgeous beach settings and the delectable foods presented on the show.

The light in Northern Jutland, where the show takes place, is very very special. I am not particularly religious at all; but the quality of the light up there makes one feel a sense of the divine presence. My Danish wife and I used to vacation up there regularly about fifteen years back. A group of artists called the Skagen Painters at the turn of the twentieth century are very famous in Denmark and they were attracted by this special light up around Skagen and nearby. The Skagen Painters painted a lot of motifs of the local area and tried to capture the special qualities of the light in their work.

PBS masterpiece has it on now thru season 5...love the last episode..but found out there are 2 more seasons but I have not found where we can watch them with English subtitles

Be nice if Walter Presents would reply re when they are going to be putting up the rest of the series from 3 onwards? They are on season 8 in Denmark!!!

@@ceejay4284 getting frustrating......I can't find season 3 anywhere. We can't view American channels on Amazon. All this bloody subscription channels and it's not on any of them. It's not like it's new either......45 episodes....7 series 😭😭😭😭😭😠😠😠
